Dr. Richard B Dewey JR., MD

Dr Dewey is a very serious guy but cares about his patients, knows what he's talking about, and answers questions and explains things in a clear way. The UTSW patient processing system is the best i have every experienced. Minimal delays, quick responses on the Web portal, cherry and polite staff.

Dr. Dewey has been my doctor for several years. I have always found him to be friendly, ready to answer all my questions and very professional. I feel like he really cares about my health and wants to provide the best possible care.

He is very knowledgeable on Parkinson's. Tested my motor skills. I felt very confident with his expertise.

My husband has been seeing Dr. Dewey for 10 years for Parkinson Disease. My husband has progressed slowly over the years and we believe it is because of Dr. Dewey . He is very patient and always has interns who are being trained in PD following him around. We have great faith in this doctor and consider my husband a blessed man because of Dr. Dewey.

I took my family member to see Dr. Dewey. He is not a people person, very poor people skill. We plan to change to another doctor.

Dr. Dewey has been excellent with my mother's care & she has made so much improvement since seeing him. I am so thankful I found him while she still had time to live a productive life under his care.

A less caring,unrealistic doctor could not exist.

We changed from another neurologist to Dr. Dewey for my father who has Parkinson's. Dad was pretty out of it for months with the treatment being given by his previous doctor. His disease was calling all the shots. 6-8 weeks after the treatment Dr. Dewey recommended, my father began to re-emerge again. He has been enjoying life and functioning well for his age. Dr. Dewey sees ALOT of patients. There aren't many like him, so he does rush the visit with the patient. But he does know his job and closely watches test results, etc. for an accurate diagnosis. Just make sure you have all your inquiries written down before you see him so you get all your questions answered.
