Dr. Richard James Flynn, MD

My husband and I have been with him since 1996. We would not leave him for another Dr. Yes he is very quiet but he is always listening to you. I know some of the reviews I don't agree with but if you do what he tells you to do then I'm sorry... He has always send us to a specialist if needed without any delay.... And follows thru. He knows you and what your problems are. Also has a wonderful staff that is very helpful and Makes sure he always knows your needs. Never had any problems getting in to see him . As far as a DUI I believe that was in Med school!!!! Come on one glass of wine at dinner and it could be said of you !!!! Remember go to the E R if you need to

Where to begin, he has been treating my Mother for far too long. She is 88 and has been sick for 3 weeks he just kept calling her in a Z pack. She finally went to urgent care got a chest X-ray and had pneumonia!! Thanks for not taking care of my Mother she will not be back. Thank God she didn’t keep listening to you who told her she didn’t need to be seen!!!!

Dr. Richard Flynn is a liability to the medical community and the patients he serves. This doctor should not be practicing. He's arrogant, medical negligent and needs a thorough review by the Florida board of medicine. He does not represent what a Doctor should be in any shape or form. He needs to be disciplined and have his license revoked due to medical negligence, causing harm to his patient and creating additional health issues for his patient. Dr. Richard Flynn is a complete and utter atrocity and a substantial risk to the medical community.

2 professional malpractice/ negligence lawsuits. (2009 and 2010. Public record Duval County). Settled after several years before jury trial. Patients trusted and they died suddenly. Be forewarned. Has DUI. Has criminal traffic violation-driving vehicle without registration for over 4 months. Medicare records list him as one of highest prescribers or medication. Find a better doctor.

Can explode in anger. Beware.

Dr. Flynn is a very caring, thorough doctor and his office staff is friendly. I have never had a long wait for my appointments and am always treated with respect. Dr. Flynn is pretty serious most of the time but I'm sure he is smiling on the inside.

He is spooky quiet and he does not explain or communicate well. He will make a diagnosis in his mind and prescribe a med, but he will not explain what he is thinking or what is wrong with you. He just prescribes a medication. He has a very strange and poor bedside manner. Amish almost in personality. He never smiles and is definitely not into small talk or asking about your family or anything else. His diagnosis is usually right. But you have to look on your check-out bill to find out what was wrong. Very impersonal. Staff is very courteous.
