Dr. Goldstein has been my internist/general practitioner for over 15 years. When I first started seeing him, his service and bedside manner were impeccable; Which kept me coming back. Over the last 3- 4 years, however, his usefulness as a doctor has declined. He has been slowly cutting back his office hours to the point that you can only see him two days a week from 8am - noon. So in order to see your doctor, you need to take time off of work. Beyond that, rather than treat you, he just recommends a specialist for whatever ails you. If you come in with a stomach problem, he prints you out a recommendation for a gastroenterologist and sends you on your way. Sadly, someone who once was a fairly decent doctor, doesn't seem like he wants to be one anymore. Recently he as also moved into Dr. Hymanson's office who practices medicine as if it were the stone age. You can't even pay with credit cards. Years ago, Dr. Goldstein was heralded in the newspapers for using a revolutionary… Patient Portal where you can get all your updates, test results, referrals and anything else you may need, right online in the comfort of your home, but due to the fact that Dr. Hymanson's office is non-electronic, it no longer functions.

Dr Goldstein's been my Doctor for at least 20 years. The Best of the Best.

I have been a patient of Dr. Goldstein's for over 17 years. He has a wonderful bedside manner, is so calming. The only time I cannot get an appointment is if he is booked solid. I have never needed him to follow up after a visit as I have never been that ill, thank God.

Dr. Goldstein always tries to help. His receptionists are all nice. He is a comfort.

Last time I saw this Dr I was having pain in bladder area. Told him I thought it was fistula caused by repeated diverticulitis attacks. He took urinalysis (without culture) & told me I had a bladder infection. Put me on antibiotics & also asked me to try this prostate med to see if it helped increase urine flow (side effect: fainting). I did not take this drug. As it turned out, I did not have a bladder infection, instead my bladder was irritated due to the diverticulitis. I wound up having 8" of my colon removed due to this and Goldstein never bothered following up with me.

Dr. Goldstein is, by far, the best doctor that I have ever been to. He is compassionate, kind, absolutely brilliant, and doesn't have the proverbial "God complex." I have recommended him to anyone that has asked me if I know a doctor that I trust. He is exactly what a doctor should be. I can't say enough about what a wonderful doctor he is, from his bedside manner to his spot-on diagnosis just from looking at you. Richard Goldstein is the model that other doctors should aspire to be.
