Dr. Richard Anderson Gullick, MD

I saw Dr Gullick after my pain pump got infected. He took me to surgery the next day and removed it. I had some pain but not nearly as bad as the same procedure a year ago. He said he would put it in after I had healed and I feel certain it will be successful the next time. He took his time and talked to me and made me feel comfortable before he went any farther. Best yet all of the nurses had great things to say bout him. I am so happy I got to see him.

I had been suffering debilitating sciatic pain for over 10 years, and it had progressed to the point I was draped over a footstool nearly 24-7, even with the pain meds. Dr. Gullick saw the problem where others didn't think it was that bad. During surgery, he saw a solution that solved 99% of the issue without having to cut the disk --- which would have lead to far greater restrictions and risks in my future. Previously I had pain walking even 100 yards, but I was walking 1/2 mile pain-free a few days after surgery. 1-1/2 years later, I can walk miles through all terrain, chop firewood, and lift heavy objects. I have a life again, thanks to Dr. Gullick's wisdom and skill. He earns my highest recommendation for his field.

I began seeing Dr Gullick in Aug 2017 after experiencing a pinched nerve at C5-C6 and C6-C7. I had lost use of my right arm; he got me in the same day to see a pain clinic. Insurance required physical therapy and steroid injections which I did and regained use of my arm. The steroid injections eventually became less effective. Dr Gullick never pressured me to have surgery. He performed cervical disc arthroplasty at both levels in Dec 2018. Six weeks later most of the pain and swelling are gone. I have good range of motion. My neck hasn't felt this free of inflammation and pain since about 2008.

I saw Dr. Gullick after every surgeon and I do mean every surgeon in Chattanooga, Tennessee refused to operate on me. I was in excurating pain. No pain medicine would touch the pain. I could barely walk. Dr. Gullick saw me and said "I can fix that." He operated and I am pain free, I am walking! He was God sent for me. How do you replay someone who gives you your life back? Thank You, Dr Gullick from the bottom of my heart.

What a waste of time! No people skills! Confirmed everything I apready knew, surgery is the only cure for my medical issue and pain. but let's try shots! When asked if this would alleviate the problem, his response was no. Only surgery would do that! Then had the nerve to refer me to a "Pain Management Clinic". His staff were more helpful than he was! He was more concerned about getting on to the next patient than addressing my concerns and medical situation. Very disappointed! Have seen to specialists in the same field as this one, both concur that surgery is the best solution to restore my quality of life, allow me to get away from drugs and move on with my life.

Dr. Gullick saved my husband's life. He performed an emergency craniectomy after my husband suffered a traumatic brain injury from a fall. He is an experienced and talented surgeon. He has a very positive but realistic outlook on life. We are forever grateful for his kindness and expertise.
