Dr. Richard Alexander Hartert Jr, MD

I've only been going to this doctor for a few months and I would definitely recommend him! Love him and the staff! They are the best! He even performed surgery on me recently and it went really well! I was well informed on the surgery and procedures that were being done. I've even had other pcp's and nurses in the field tell me that if they ever needed surgery or had any type of major complications he's the doctor they would go see and I can see why!

Dr. Hartert delivered 2 of my 3 children and the only reason he did not deliver all 3 was because we were stationed in another state. He has been treating me of OBGYN issues for 30 years. There are literally hundreds of GYN's in Jacksonville but there is only 1 that cares for you the way he does and remembers EVERYTHING about you. You are not just another chart, you are his patient. My mother sees him, I see him and now my daughter sees him. While he does not deliver babies anymore, he is fantastic in his treatments for other issues.

The wait times in this office are outrageous. I have had to wait over one hour on each visit!

In all the years I've gone to Dr. Hartert, I've never been disappointed. He has made the 'dreaded' yearly appointment comfortable and easy. His staff is always helpful and very nice to deal with. He has the perfect personality for his job, friendly but conscientious.

our insurance dropped us claiming i had a preexisting condition while i was pregnant. even though i had the insurance 1 month prior to even being pregnant. they dropped me 3 months into pregnancy. my previous OBGYN basically gave me the boot b/c i couldnt afford to pay out of pocket. with no help and no were to go i applied for medicaid and joined healthy start. my case worker found Dr. Hartert and i called him and they accepted me. I swear i dont know what i would of done without him! he gave me more answers, more time, and i actually felt like he cared! my last doctor was very well known and respected wasnt like this. he was cold and a little heartless, especially due to the fact he knew me and my mother and knew a great deal of our family history. Dr. Hartert is not that kind of doctor! he is very personal, he has great bedside manner and he diagnosed a condition that the other's didnt. i feel without him my pregnancy would of been harder b/c i was considered high risk due to my… medical history. he's has a very sincere and fun personality, he makes you feel totally at ease! i will never forget this man and what he did for our family!

I have been with Dr. Hartert for 15 years. He is funny, light hearted, and caring. I wouldn't change drs unless he retired.
