Dr. Richard John Hartle, MD

Dr Hartle was very thorough and listened to what I had to say. He answered my questions and he wasn't in a hurry . He showed concern for my issue and made sure I understood what I needed to do and reassured me I would get better.

Dr Hartle is a very angry man. I recently had a colonoscopy and I was told after the procedure I didn’t do a very good job of cleansing. He was very arrogant and not pleasant. My wife told me that about 10 minutes after I left for the procedure room she heard someone talking in a very loud and angry voice. She could hear it from the prep room. I suspect he was talking to me (I was under anesthesia).....he was yelling at a person who was asleep. He was also late.....again. I’m done with him.

Nurse, anesthesiologist and Dr. Hartle were wonderful! Very compassionate anesthesiologist and nurse!

I have only great things to say about physician assistant Stephen Hawkins in with Dr. Hartle. Stephen Hawkins is very thorough takes time to listen and explain any questions. Dr. Hartle did my endoscopy was in and out to briefly speak with me. I had a major flare up couldn’t be seen for 2 in a 1/2 weeks so I saw a surgeon. Dr. Hawkins dismissed me as a patient when I needed my medication refilled as I was evaluated by a surgeon. Dr. Hartle didn’t see me for follow up after endoscopy, I only saw Stephen Hawkins and he is fantastic. I spoke with Dr. Hartle after hours for stomach issues and about medications and he was very curt. I would recommend Stephen Hawkins but have no desire to have Dr. Hawkins treat me.

Takes the time needed to diagnose my problem

I had high hopes for Dr. Hartle when I first arrived for my test. The staff at the facility were wonderful, from the person who checked me in, to the nurses who prepared me and took care of me after my procedure. What dissapointed me was that I waited over an hour and a half before I was even called back to get ready. And then I overheard his interaction with the nurses. I was surprised that a supposed educated professional would behave so poorly. His care was fine, but, I think you can tell a lot about a person's character by how they treat people that work for him. I was appalled.
