Dr. Richard J Holmes, MD

I have not had positive experiences with Dr. Holmes. He has a lot of benevolent sexist views, and does not seem to be aware of the sub-par (and at times offensive) care that he gives young women. Quote from my last visit, "uteruses are as unpredictable as women's brains." Don't go if you are a woman and expect him to value your body/brain.

Has he also been disciplined in Utah ?

Dr Holmes is a wonderful physician and he truly cares about his patients.

I was very disappointed with this facility. Though the doctor was fine, he was always abrupt and seemed rushed. The staff was very condescending and not helpful. A specific issue: I scheduled my first pregnancy ultrasound before the end of the year and then showed up for the appointment in the new year, and didn't find out until I was there that they no longer were supporting my insurance. How hard is it to send out an email or a call, at least to those with appointments scheduled? Customer service was HORRIBLE. Do not go unless you want to be treated like a child by the staff and like a number by the doctor.

I went to this doctor for all but my last pregnancy, and I missed him. He has an excellent bedside manner and a genuine love for my family.
