Dr. Richard Charles Howells II, MD

I am a patient. This a review of my experience with Dr. Howells and other professionals I have encountered in his office, not a commentary or perspective of a former or current staff member. I have consistently been greeted courteously and warmly in his office. I have not experienced extended wait times. On the contrary, without exception, I have been seen promptly. Dr. Howells' nurse listens intently and carefully. I know she hears me because when Dr. Howells enters the room, he is well informed. He asks logical, intelligent, questions and he takes the time necessary to assess the evidence and clearly state treatment options and associated expectations. He values truth and honesty and he responds to questions in kind. I don't know how this practice is managed behind the scenes but, as a patient, my experience has been that Dr. Howells takes the "FACS" in his credentials seriously, a refreshing attribute in a health care system that is rife with opportunity and… rewards for physicians to function in a manner that is inconsistent with the tenants of the Hippocratic Oath. As a patient, I unequivocally recommend Dr. Howells and his Otolaryngology practice, for competency, ethics and functionality in equal measure.

Unfortunately this practice is about Quantity and lining their pockets and Not Quality. Staff working here don't even receive medical benefits. How can those who take a vow to "do no harm" could not provide fundamentals for the people they spend all day, every day with meanwhile pocketing their rewards. Appointments are rushed so that the doctor can see as many patients as possible. Sometimes waits become very long.
