Please heed my warning. Johns Hopkins Hospital is rated very high as a research hospital but do not mistake this for being rated high in every area and I am here to tell you that they are very poor when treating cancer. Dr. Jones is overburdened and has way too much on his plate and it comes across in conversations he has with you. My wife had lymphoma and they screwed up at every turn. Not only that, when my wife needed to come back to the hospital due to pain or nausia after treatments or problems with blockages they would send her through the regular ER and this is with very low counts and very vulnerable to ineffections. They recommended doing radiation on the lymphatic tumor eventhough radiation is not the right way to beat lymphoma and they destroyed her digestive track in the process. The assistants that work behind the desks at the cancer center, many of them are very insensitive and very cold. We went to MD Anderson Hospital in Houston Texas the last 3 months of my… wife's life. Hopkins could learn so much from seeing how to treat patients and about how to communicate with each other and communicate with the patient. Every employee down to the custodians treated everyone there with love and respect. There is no comparison. Hopkins is a poor excuse of a cancer hospital and the doctors have a God like attitude and are arrogant.
