Dr. Richard David Kaplan, MD

I had been a patient at Green Valley ob/gyn for over 15 yrs, when Dr. Kaplan delivered my 3rd baby in 2002. I had had an uneventful healthy pregnancy, then during labor during the pushing phase something went horribly wrong! I had to have an emergency C-section! It was so serious, that the surgery started without drugs on board!!! Pain you can't imagine! Without that drastic measure, my baby girl and I wouldn't have made it! She almost didn't! Her APGAR was 2, she was without a heartbeat, and no oxygen for 6 minutes! Today she's a beautiful, smart, sweet 16! I credit Dr. Kaplan! He saved us, by taking those drastic measures, and I will forever be so very grateful! It was meant for him to be the one on call that night! Thank You Dr. Kaplan!

I dont have anything good to say about Dr. Kaplan. This is my first pregnancy. I had a complication that Dr. Kaplan did not seem too concerned about. Unfortunately i was not aware of it, until this visit.He seemed irritated with me. His response to the issue (as seen in another review) was "its not a big deal".I later found out that it was indeed a big deal. I will say, he seemed kind of uppity, and irritated throught my visit....all in all...not a very nice man. I was aprehensive about coming back to this office for a second visit. I expected the atmosphere to be welcoming (especially for a first time mommy). I DID NOT get that from Dr. Kaplan. I had one other unpleasant experience at this office before I switched to another obgyn.
