Dr. Richard Keller, MD

Dr. Keller has been helping me at Stanford Emeryville with my blood pressure and weight issues. I found him extremely caring and happy to listen. And since seeing him just 2 weeks ago I've changed my eating habits (lost 5 lbs so far!), exercising as often as possible, and tracking blood pressure like never before. Thank you, Dr. Keller, for your highly professional and gentle manner in practicing internal medicine!

Dr. Kellermayer can often be very condescending and rude. I'm 18 years old and he treats me like a child. I'm sorry if I don't look thrilled that my body is rotting from the inside out. He was out of his mind asking me to repeat sentences after him and make eye contact with him after I "seemed irritated" that he wouldn't stop talking about my weight and how I should "lay off the chips" and "stop playing computer games" (a reference to my computer bag). Two things I don't do...He cuts me off frequently, shows up late with a wild story as to why, and talks to my dad and then tells me that I'm 18 and need to be ready to do this on my own which I had planned on doing but wasn't able to because he wants to focus on talking with my dad, because my dad knows what I feel on the inside right? That's apparently what Dr. Kellermayer thinks. He was recommended to me when I was in the hospital last time. If it were up to his mentor, I would have already been under the knife. Dr. Villa has a… competing practice with TX children's but technically isn't consider a part of their system even though my pediatrician from TX children's referred him. Because of the 'politics' between theam, things got complicated. My mom wasn't happy with the online communication with him and how he acted when she asked his opinion on possibly scheduling me for a pneumonia vaccine which was recommended we ask my a family nurse.
