Dr. Richard John Kerbel, MD

Doctor Kerbel took care of my daughter now he cares for her daughter ,he is a very soft spoken and kind man ,easy to talk with appts are fast no long waits his office is pleasant and bright ,He is great with the kids gentle and yet fast ..best doctor.

From one medical professional to another- Dr. Kerbel is has been ireeplaceable in the care of my 2 children. If he is not on call, HE will call me back if I request. If emergently needed, my child can be seen that day without prolonged waiting. My child is 1st and formost in his care - he accomplishes that without sacrificing quality of care or bedside manners.

I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Richard Kerbel as my children's pediatrician now for over 18 years. My experience has been the best. Every time there was an issue with either of my children, it was handled with the greatest expertise. Not the type to just hand out an antibiotic. He has always returned my calls personally. His staff has been most helpful and accomodating. My children love him and my daughter hated to leave his practice for a new doctor near college. We have also had the pleasure of seeing his wife, Dr. Brenda; she was also a pleasure. Thank you to both Dr Kerbel's!

We were referred to Dr. Kerbel by 2 different doctors, so I was surprised that we had the following experience. (We saw him about 6 times.)1) His staff was snarky in person and even worse on the phone. 2) When Dr. Kerbel asked me a question, he would interrupt my answer. Every time. Seriously, every time!3) His recommendations were very outdated and when I asked him about some newer research about a topic, he had never heard of it and said he didn't go by research, he went by his experience. I think people like him because he is charming and has a cute south african accent and he's sweet with babies. However, I think "knowing what you're talking about" is my first priority when picking a doc for my children. (Followed closely by "listening to my kid's symptoms before diagnosing him" and "having staff that don't roll their eyes," lol.)
