Once you are in the office the wait time is only about 10 minutes. He is professional yet personable.

I have been going to Dr. Kirkpatrick for the past 8 years. Because I grew up in Florida with very fair Irish skin, I have had to go to dermatologists once or twice a year for the past 25 years. Dr. Kirkpatrick is by far the best dermatologist I have even been to. Each time I go, I get a head-to-toe skin check. He has been very thorough to catch pre-cancers and skin cancers early. I have never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes in the waiting room or in the patient room, which is very unusual compared to the 45 minute wait I had experienced at many other dermatologists office in the past. Because he is so well liked, it is difficult to get an appointment sometimes. But I just make sure I schedule myself in advance.

I have seen this practice before under my UHC insurance: great insurance, but you see a Nurse Practitioner not the dr. The Nurse took 10 min and was gone. I have had moles removed before at the request of my family physician and my ob/GYN in another state. I explained the history of Melanoma and was still not given a full body exam, just a brief look run through like cattle. If you don't attend every 3 years, your then recognized as a new patient and you can't see them. They won't even recommend another dr to see int he area if you have an urgent need. Your care is not priority to this Practice. Call the Front Desk and ask!Not taking new patients until 2015 So they say
