Dr. Richard Hazan Kumet, MD

Stop treating veterans. You do not represent them.

Dr. Richard H Kumet should retire. He has no respect for Veterans.

doctor (?) Kumet is another doctor using the VA system to hide in because he wouldn't survive in the marketplace. Without meeting this person, he had the audacity to judge me, put it in writing, and labeled me VA wide. His behavior with me shows me I'd never have him as a doctor of any sort, thank goodness animals are out of his realm.

I have only met one other doctor in my entire life with a God complex as severe as Dr. Kumet's. The other doctor did, at least, have compassion and empathy, unlike Dr. Kumet, which made him tolerable. Dr. Kumet is a supervisor in Psychiatry at Tucson's VA Medical Center. A supervisor's position would be appropriate for him if he were in a different profession. But as a doctor, most especially a psychiatrist, he is definitely in need of heavy supervision himself. From personal experience I can positively say that he does not listen to his patients. He ignores any concerns patients may have. He doesn't explain his reasoning for any of his actions which directly affect his patients' lives, even when asked directly to do so. He seems to get annoyed by anyone who has the nerve to question his decisions. He also contradicts himself frequently, which is probably one of the reasons for his aversion to questions. I would not recommend Dr. Kumet as a doctor, nor would I ever put my life or the… life of anyone I love in his hands ever again. He lacks the sensitivity needed to continue practicing in the field of medicine.
