Dr. Richard Hlaing Kyi, MD

My children were both patients of Dr. Kyi our insurance changed. We had to change providers. We tried to resume care and we were told that we can not return after we change providers. We were not informed that we would not be able to return till we tried to make an appointment per his wife that works in the office. She refused for us to speak to him directly. -Disapointed

If there was a lower rating than this one I would give it to this place. I called Dr. Kyi's office for the first time on October 10th to make an appointment for my 3 month old baby. The receptionist that attended me that day was very kind and asked me that I first needed to change my insurance so that Dr. Kyi would appear on my baby's medical card and then call back with the reference number so that I could make the appointment for my baby. That is what I did. The next day I called again but unfortunately I was answered by another receptionist who was very very rude and impolite. She told me that I had to wait for my insurance to send me a new card with Dr. Kyi's name on it. I had to wait 12 days until I received the card with the doctor's name. I called again on October 22nd to make the appointment. The rude receptionist answered me again and told me that I had to send her the medical card by email .which I have been sending it daily so that she can make the appointment for me. But… she says that she has not received it and has not made the appointment for the doctor to see my baby. Today, November 4, I called again and the same rude receptionist answered me again but this time she did not let me speak and hung up on me. How sad that such an efficient doctor dares to put such a rude, arrogant person as a receptionist, who does not have the slightest idea of ??what it is to treat his patients.

The front desk -doctor wife- is rude. She has a really bad attitude.

Ever since his wife has been handling the administrative duties to this office it’s gone downhill. I’ve taken my almost 11 year old to Dr. Kyi since he was worn and since my oldest son was 6. Had an urgent request for a doctor’s appointment today and because Dr Kyi’s wife couldn’t open my son’s insurance card on a pdf document in their very outdated system (they use hotmail as an email service) she got mad and kept yelling at me that next time I need to take the physical card. (I’ve called BCBS several times requesting a new one since I misplaced it and they have since then just gone digital so they refuse to send a second physical card). I told her that they wouldn’t send me a physical card and if it’s a problem maybe next time I’ll take him to a different doctor and she responds please do so. At that point I got upset as well because my son is in pain and I’m like as a matter of fact I’ll leave right now. None of the medical assistants last there anymore and last time that I took my… teenage son for a dermatologist referral she responded with “maybe he just needs a girlfriend” and didn’t bother telling her husband, Dr. Kyi that I needed the referral. Just rude overall and doesn’t have any business dealing with patients.

We have been using Dr Kyi since my kids were babies (now 13 and 17). Dr Kyi is the best. He is very thorough and explains everything clearly so that you understand. He also calls with test results immediately when he receives them. I cant say enough about how great he is.

I have been going to Dr. Kyi with my 2 sons since they were babies. I always feel so comfortable there. Dr. Kyi and his staff are always so accommodating of my boys needs. Excellent bedside manner and my boys absolutely love him! Thank you to Dr. Kyi, his wife and amazing staff for such an outstanding experience every time we go there!

We have been going to Dr. KYIFor over five years. Excellent doctor as well as the staff. I could not be more accommodating or more pleasant. Always gets us in when one of the children are sick. Very good to both of my grandchildren and very knowledgeable when it comes to their care. Highly recommend this doctor. Both my grandsons, age 6 and 7 just adore him .

Dr Kyi’s wife is the most disrespectful person I have ever had to talk to. She is completely unprofessional and has zero medical knowledge. It’s a shame dr kyi let’s her run his office because he is losing patients because of her.

If you can get to Dr. Kyi, he is wonderful, but good luck getting through his wife who plays secretary and his office staff. If you have a problem don’t worry you won’t be able to speak to a medical professional you will get his wife who has not an ounce of medical knowledge. But she does have one big attitude!

His wife is a PREJUDICE SHALLOW COLD HEARTED INDIVIDUAL!!!! She is so EVIL that she has the same DISTASTEFUL HEARTLESD demeanor with the children !!! Sad part is thankfully Dr. Kyi is mich nicer than she and is the reason why we still go there. Such a nice guy that was cursed w the worst wife ever! Many times he noticed it and you can tell he is embarrassed by her bedside manner! She needs to stay home where she belongs no reason for her to be there you can barely understand what she says anyway!
