Dr. Richard Aubrey Lemon, MD

Rebuilt ankle going strong 30 years later. I was talking to a friend about an accident I had 30 years ago while attending UW-Madison that shattered my ankle. Dr. Lemmon was the one who did the work, and had me walking in amazing time. I see a lot of folks complaining about workers comp, but that doesn't speak to his skills. Personally, I select a doctor for competence, not personality. 30 years later my ankle is great. He offered to remove the 7 screws and plate he installed if it became painful, but it never was and to this day they are there and working great. Hope this helps if someone is looking for a first hand assessment of his quality of work 30 years down the road.

I had to see Dr. Richard Lemon for Workmen’s Comp. injury. I did not see him until six months after the initial injury. So I know he had the results of my MRI and x-rays. He proceeded to lie and say there was nothing wrong with my shoulder other than my age my weight and the fact that I smoke. The MRI clearly shows all the tears and damage from the fall. This so-called doctor proceeded to say in his report that I was exaggerating my symptoms after he hurt my arm by lifting it and then he pinched my arm after he was done inflicting pain upon me this so-called doctor should have his license revoked and he should be held accountable for all the things that he has done to the patients that he is seen as an IME doctor and in my personal opinion he should be able to be sued for being a liar. And I feel sorry for anybody that has to deal with this lemon. He gets paid from the insurance companies to say that there is nothing wrong with us after we have an injury

He is paid by work comp.carriers to lie about you health. He has zero integrity and no moral compass. He lies, passes judgement and is only out for money that he is paid to and lies and ultimately have your case denied.

Had both knees replaced by Dr. Lemon one year ago. The surgery was difficult for the surgery team, but I came through fine and am doing well since. I found Dr Lemon to be very professional, courteous, and kind. Not chatty (as mentioned previously), but he answered all my questions satisfactorily. I’m a Mechanical Engineer, so we got into some of the structural designs and materials issues of the knees, too. Lemon was referred to me by an ENT Doctor friend, so we felt comfortable choosing him. Sorry for all the Bad workers comp patient reviews. I don’t know what’s going on there, but I liked Dr. Lemon and he did a great job for me.

While I understand Dr. Lemon is hired by the work comp companies to support denials of claims, as a fellow medical professional I still expected as an accurate and appropriate assessment be done. This was absolutely not the case. The assessment done was a complete sham. The appointment was 15 minutes from the time I entered the room to walking out. Records that werent even mine, were in my chart. He stated he had all my records but I could clearly see he did not. How a 15 minute visit can trump a year of provider, PT and therapeutic massage is beyond me. Shame on him for providing such a disservice to people. This is against everything you are taught in caring for patients.

Had to see this Dr, for a workmen comp issue. Rotor cuff. He told me to turn my head one way then the other. that it. 1 week later got a letter that workmens comp would not cover it. He is such a joke. He has no personality . If there was a way to give him less them 1 star I would try.

I imagine he has never helped the patient in an independent medical exam because its only a great paying side job for workers compensation insurance companies. Definitely didn't go to medical school to help others, only his wallet! Imagine being a surgeon, and yet needing to lie about others peoples injuries to make even more money.

I had to see him because of a law firm that represents the ins.company of the employer I agree with the first comment how did he get so much information from 10 minutes and on his report he said nothing changed from his initial prognosis the only problem with that is I hadnt seen him yet and hadn't had my hearing with the ALJudge yet and thats where I signed the release forms so that lawyer could access my medical files how do you make a determination on a person without access to the person or there medical records????????? he did the same thing also about ask a question - you start to answer-he butts in with another question-and then turns around and repeats the previous question which I don't think he liked me because after that happened twice I just stopped talking he got upset and said I was required to answer and I asked if our session was being recorded he said no and I said whats the point in answering questions if your not going to listen to the answer??????? he said… he was listening and I said is that why you ask the same questions his office was not a clinic it looked more like the entryway into Fort Knox 2 chairs and a coat rack no magazines and cameras in the corners of the room pretty weird I had to have 2 rotor cuff surgeries and his determination was my employer was not liable because the injury I sustained was healed in 7 days and said the surgery wasn't necasarry and the rotor cuff was just age related!!! I would think that if Dr.Rawal went in there twice and signed the paper with information I had to submit for my appeal when my workmanship comp. was denied I'm sure if it was age he would of said so instead of saying it was because of my fall worst part is the employer is a church and there as crooked as that doctor

He did full hip replacement and I have never had a pain free day since. Worse decision I ever made. I wish I knew you could look up Dr ratings before surgery. Never trust a 2 star Dr. I already need my "new" hip replaced. He ruined my life

This man should have his license revoked. I had to see him for a workman’s comp claim that they requested. I was rear ended Iin my work vehicle (I am a home health nurse) the driver was going 15-20 miles an hour. I felt ok at the time of the accident but the next day I woke up with a stiff neck that got worse. I saw my doctor and I was diagnosed with whiplash, a concussion, cervical sprain and trapezius sprain and jaw sprain. I went to therapy twice a week for 4 months and had dry needling, neck traction and tens treatment done. I also saw a pain and rehab doctor and was given steroid injections on two separate occasions and Botox on another occasion. I went to the IME with Lemon and his report pretty much said I didn’t have enough damage on my car to have pain still, or at all. I said the day of the accident I was ok, I am magnifying my symptoms and pretty much that I have somatic complaints. He said I do not need anymore treatment effective the day of his exam and I am perfectly… fine. All this from a what was maybe 7 minute exam. I haven’t found out anything from my workman’s comp insurance yet but only just read his report today! He is a fraud and a liar and I would steer clear of him.
