The vast majority of doctors i have visited in the past were kind, helpful and professional. The single visit i had with richard long was a horrible experience. i explained the details of my chronic injury to which he did not seem interested in listening. this doctor applied excessive force onto my injured joint resulting in trauma and ALOT of pain. the tone of his voice was aggressive and hostile. i thought he was just mad at someone but i seems he used me to flush his anger out. DR. RICHARD LONG PHYSICALLY HURT ME and has compromised my slow recovery. beware of this doctor. you would do much better going somewhere else. most likely i would not write a review if my experience was limited to a rude, unhelpful visit. this doctor hurt me and if i can save even one person from suffering the same fate it will be worth it.

As a nurse myself I have known Dr. Long as both a patient and medically. He has almost an intuitive diagnostic skill covering all areas of the human body and it's diseases. Also an excellent Surgeon, taking his time to insure the least possible scaring along with correcting the problems. Conservative, to allow the body to heal itself, if possible, while careful not to miss some symptom that may be extremely important to the patient's outcome. He is constantly updating knowledge of the latest techniques, utilizing conferences and opportunities to assist surgeons at SpineCare, in California, with difficult spinal surgeries, further enhancing surgical skills. He has a great sense of humor unless the situation requires intense concentration and skill. He demands excellence in himself and the others in the medical setting. A rare and excellent combination of knowledge, skill and unwavering interest in giving patients the best possible medical care.
