Dr. Richard Michael Lumiere, MD

He is compassionate and caring. I had a horrible experience with a female doctor and after 1 visit never returned. When I found Dr. Lumiere, I never looked back. He delivered 3 out of my 4 boys. I recall Dr. Lumiere having to attend a conference and it was my due date and left me with another doctor to deliver one of my boys and I prayed that the baby stayed in place until his return, which he did. Best GYN doctor.

Dr. Lumiere is one the best doctors I've ever had. He answers all my questions and is concerned with my overall health and well being, discussing pros and cons of my health care. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Lumiere always answers any phoned-in questions on his own. I have two wonderful sons because of his expertise in infertility. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Lumiere has been my gynecologist/obstetrician for more than 20 years. He delivered my daughter and was extremely good at everything he did. Sufficient concern and testing, but not overdone. Very concerned about the whole patient, general feminine health over the years. He is very knowledgeable and acknowledges when the research is ambiguous on certain topics.

Dr. Lumiere has consistently kept current with the latest research, information and knowledge in the ob/gyn field. He is straightforward and thorough in his exams and explanations of situations. I would recommend Dr. Lumiere without hesitation. His office is professional and accessible.

Plusses: seems appropriately knowledgable (I feel I'm in good hands), can answer questions, office functions smoothlyMinuses: doesn't seem to want to know anything about the "whole patient" so I've come to realize that I need to expect business and absolutely no smalltalk. Is not unkind, but it's up to the patient to initiate any kind of communication that goes beyond the stock questions you might expect at a doctor's office.

I'm very happy with Dr Lumiere. The office is clean & it's usually a prompt visit. He's no-nonsense in his approach, which I like, and he waits for me to ask all my questions without rushing out.

I expected to have a doctor to patient chat previous to my check up. At least a brief run through my medical history papers which took me about 15mins to fill out. He just walked in and did what he needed to do and right back out. I am positive he is a very knowledgeable doctor and extremely professional but, if there's any doctor a woman wants to feel at ease with, it should be her gynecologist. I felt like I was taking up his time.
