Dr. Richard Buckley Luthin, MD

In 1997 I had to have a colposcopy with this individual. I later learned he wa removed from the clinic due to complaints. He should not work with women and as a result I no longer can have a male doctor. I told him I was in college studying German, which he apparently dabbles in. He proceeded with the colposcopy (cervical biopsy, which I associate with a high degree of pain as a result) whilst singing German songs. It was surreal, horrific. It was accompanied by intolerable pain. He referred to the biopsy taken as a "piece of meat." There should truly be an option for no stars. Avoid.

I have to agree with the other reviewer, he had no bedside manners, as rude and unprofessional. I was in labor for 28 hours he let us suffer throughout just because I gained more than he wanted me to. We almost died, my blood pressure sky rocketed and my son had fetal heart distress, he waited too long to decide on a C-section. This happened 31 years ago but I still remember how abusive he was. Ladies please evaluate your doctors well. If I knew then what I know now, he wouldn't be allowed to practice ever again!! He has ruined his last name!!! Just hearing that Luthin name reminds me of Lucifer!!

17 years ago Dr.Luthin delivered my son. I had already been in labor for 31 hours with a midwife. Dr. Luthin's first words to me as he entered my room were "get me some boots I don't want to get blood on my shoes." He never spoke directly to me. He first tried a vacuum extraction, which failed. He then used forceps to remove my son. Through all of this no comments to me. My son was delivered bruised and weak. My husband is a dairy farmer and said he has never seen a calf removed more forcefully than our son. Dr.Luthin never checked in on me in the seven days I remained at the hospital. My white blood cell counts were extremely high likely due to an internal infection caused by delivery methods. Just the sound of his name gives me chills.
