Dr. Richard A Lutz, DO

This so called Dr. was a peer review Dr. in a Workmen’s compensation case I am involved in. Let me preface this review by saying that I am not trying to get anything from Workmen’s Comp as I have Medicare and Mutual of Omaha that will pay for my needed surgery. In addition to that, the injury I have is the result of a motor vehicle accident in which the other driver is covered by Allstate Insurance and they have accepted 100% responsibility and will be paying for all charges incurred as a result of the MVA. My back Dr. is one of the most knowledgeable spine surgeons in Dallas area and has received numerous awards and recognition for his expertise. Dr. Lutz disputed all the information supplied by my Dr. who has treated me for numerous years and operated on my back several times. After seeing the other reviews and ratings concerning so called peer reviewer, I now know what type of Dr. he is and I am certainly glad I don’t have to see him nor have any further dealings with this person.… Funny thing that a 2.7 star rated Dr. thinks he has a better opinion than a 5 star Dr. According to other reviews, this apparently is not the first time he has misdiagnosed a situation!

Failed to appear for follow up. Doctor instructed me to return for follow up. Follow up never happened. Waiting one and a half hours for appointment before being notified that this doctor was not in the building.

I consulted with Dr. Richard Lutz for my shoulder and back pain. I had one of the horrible experience with him. He didnâ??t even take time to listen to the issue. He looked at X-ray and provided impossible and unbelievable issues for my symptom. He didnt provide with enough information and education even after asking. In addition to the improper diagnosis, he charged me 3 times what I paid in another good hospital. His prescribed pain reliever ended up upsetting my stomach. I consulted with another hospital and another doctor and got my issue resolved with proper diagnosis and with just 2 physical therapies. If you want to save yourself from bad diagnosis, money laundering and your health, my kind suggestion is to stay away from this doctor.

Dr. Lutz was very nice during my office visit. However, he did not do an MRI which was needed. He did not respond when I called. I ended up in the Emergency room twice. I went to another doctor and got the help I needed. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Lutz was very easy to talk to. He answered all my questions and I felt more informed when I left. I would recommend him.

I love Dr. Lutz. Not only does he treat the pain or issues of the body, but he understands the emotional issues that go along with it.

Dr. Lutz is very professional and highly knowledgeable. Would recommend him to anyone.

This guy lutz should retire if you want my opinion. He seriously couldn't care any less. I'm pretty sure it's because of my insurance being Medicare. I say this as he mentioned it in the whole 4 minutes he spent with me. If you have better insurance maybe you will have a better experience as he could probably use you to cushion his wallet. I say go see him if you do in hopes he can retire sooner and people like me won't be disrespected and treated as trash.

Horrible experience!

Dr. Lutz seems to be knowledgable and is very personable.
