Dr. Richard Harris Mansfield, DO

The pediatrician’s office has been an absolute blessing for our family. The doctors are knowledgeable, compassionate, and always take the time to listen to our concerns while making sure my children feel comfortable, cared for, and understood. Every visit has been a positive experience. As a parent of children with special needs, having a supportive and attentive medical team means everything, and this practice has exceeded our expectations. The office staff is truly exceptional—always warm, welcoming, patient, and professional. They have been incredibly helpful with the various paperwork, forms, and documentation we often need, and they always handle everything promptly and with kindness. Their understanding and willingness to help has made our lives so much easier. We are so grateful to have found this practice and highly recommend them to any family looking for compassionate, high-quality pediatric care with an outstanding staff.

We have taken my son to Dr Mansfield since he was born and he is almost 20 years old. Dr Mansfield is very thorough and knowledgeable. The nurses are also very knowledgeable and helpful and go out of their way to assist. The front desk is always super busy yet super helpful.

Dr. Mansfield is an excellent physician. I had to laugh when I read the review whose author claimed he doesn't even have a medical degree. The Dr. Mansfield my kids go to is a board certified D.O. and treats each child like he/she is the only one on the agenda that day. He clearly takes his job seriously, and is very thorough when evaluating our children. His gentle, quiet manner makes them feel welcome and safe. Yes, it's true there are hassles parents inevitably deal with when they want to receive the services of a popular physician in a busy practice. But to me these are worth it to have a man work with your children who clearly sees their dignity and worth as a human being and treats them accordingly. Heather K.

Dr.Mansfeild is a wonderful doctor, and he remember's us from our first appointment. We have seen him out and about in public and he comes and says hi. He is very caring and listens to all our concerns, in fact we changed our son over to him from another doctor because he showed concern for him and he didn't even see him, he saw our daughter. I would highly recommend him, and he does have other doctors in his office that are just as caring and good. Every time I have ever needed an appointment we get an appointment right off, if they are sick. Our daughter was life flighted from the hospital here, to Scottish Rite his choice because this hospital didn't have what she needed had she needed it. While there his office called and made sure she was okay, and that shows they really do care, and it's not just for the money. We love Dr.Mansfield. We have never had a bad experience from him or his office.

Not only does he NOT have a medical degree his bedside manner is aweful! He spends about 5 minutes with you brushes off concerns I had about my sons ears infections.He told me being on 10 antibiotics back to back was normal. I didn't trust that so I made a appointment with a local ENT. He said not only was that not normal my child is in need of ear tubes. Ear tubes and ear infections are text book problem with kids and Manfield got it terribly wrong. Go SOmewhere else! Small town dr who does not care

To you ignorant people:A D.O. is a Doctor of Osteopathy. It is a professional doctoral degree, and its holders have the same rights and responsibilities as M.D.'s. They are licensed the same as M.D.s in all fifty states. D.O. programs are virtually the same as M.D, but require an EXTRA 300-500 hours of hands on manual medicine and muscular-skeletal system training. Get your facts straight.That being said, my experience with Dr. Mansfield has been that he holds back on prescribing medicine, especially antibiotics, unless absolutely necessary. He has NEVER prescribed myself or my younger siblings medicine without seeing them first. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Mansfield is both of my sons' pediatrician and we are quite happy with him. He IS a medical doctor - however, he is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and not a Doctor of Allopathic Medicine - which is what an M.D. is. Please google it and learn more. They are schooled and tested and boarded like any other physician.

Mansfield DOES NOT have a medical degreeFYI.. He is VERY quick to brush off concernsGAVE MY SON 6 antibiotics over a 3 month time frame and said it was normal. Gave me a 7TH prescription and told me to take it home in case his ears acted up..My reply was you don't even want me to bring him in so you can see his ears? "no just take it"?! If you have a emergency you better call in the am or they will tell you "sorry we cant see you today"They take any and every insurance so get ready to wait. NO forms ARE ON -LINE besides new patient so at 12 months and 18 months they give you a BIG packet to fill and "NO WE DONT MAIL THOSE" I cant say anything good besides it is a new office and clean.

Mansfield does not have a medical degree but seems to be fine..Dr. Flowers does not do tricare so we had to go with mansfield. The problem I have with this office are the nurses. They could be a bit more professional and caring especially when you call the 24 hour service when you have a question.
