Dr. McBurney and his staff provide provide exceptional, compassionate care for all members of the family. Whatever time you may need for your appointment is provided. Dr. McBurney listens to your concerns and works with you to develop a suitable plan of care. His staff works diligently to work patients in quickly (usually the same day) with acute needs. I have been very pleased with the care we have received from Dr. McBurney.

Dr. McBurney has taken special care for my father in law suffering with terminal lung cancer. He has been there for him so much.

Dr. McBurney has been my doctor for more than 25 years. I have never 2nd guessed his digoness.

What I witness in office to another patient was beyond rude. I was sitting beside this women they called her back then me shortly after near her room. The nurse was supposedly had a reaction to cinnamon . This poor women was talked about pretty bad by staff.I never smelled any cinnamon on her. She had a young lady with her. The staff shut the door and the young lady tried to open it. The nurse then shut the door and rudely said we don't want smell coming out here. I was shocked. The women that was seeing the doctor when I left was on the phone crying in her car. I'm looking for a new doctor ASAP. How is anyone to know whom is allergic to this or that? I'm not impressed by the doctor to help me when needed.

Doesn't listen has a very bad bedside manner.. I can't honestly recommend this doctor to anyone , after years I'm sorry to report this. My last visit he had a intern that came in a spoke with me checked me out asked questions I told him I had been feeling nausea at the time had a low grade temp of 99.9. My prescriptions were not written out to reflect my next visit, I simply called to ask if he could call in the missing ones until my next appt. was told no. Suddenly after feeling bad all morning I started throwing up temp went 102.4 called and asked for something for vomiting was rudely spoken and told I didn't have those symptom on my last visit the day before I told the intern this not my fault he did not tell me doctor because when he came in with the intern I could not get a word in edge wise even if I was trying. the end result of all this was the doctor calling and blessing me out because my daughter voiced her concerns of his ill treatment to me. No patient should be treated… this way he should have been more concerned with my well being that to prove a point that was wrong , he has temper flares to the point it stressed me when I knew I was time for a visit. His staff was very rude also. I was screamed at and told to go to the ER. I kindly asked the doctor to please clam down. Hard to deal with when you already feeling very sick.

Dr Mcburney is a rude non informative dr. You spend way more time waiting around for him then he spends in the room with you. He does not explain anything to you, does not give you directions and just hands out prescriptions for things you didn't even go to see him for. I told him this and his reply was "why should I, you wont listen." HE"S NEVER GIVEN ME ANY DIRECTIONS! He doesn't listen to what you say. and he must feel he's the only game in town, so he doesn't care if you leave and find someone else. He told me that.

Dr. McBurney is the only doctor in the High Country who actually listens to his patients!

After being diagnosed, Dr. McBurney decided NOT to prescribe antibiotics thus leaving me to become sicker. I ended up with pneumonia & pluerisy from untreated Flu. I was homebound for 2 months due to the negligiece & failure of Dr. McBurney in prescribing me anything. 3 antibiotics later & 4 months, I am still recovering from my illness. Thank GOD the 2nd Dr. I went to actually treated me instead of sending me home to 'get better on my own' as Dr. McBurney did.
