Dr. Richard Lane Meisel JR., MD

Dr. Meisel is one of a kind, and Kansas is forever going to miss him. My daughter received excellent care during her pregnancy with a CCAM baby. I was at every appt. with her, and it was because of Dr. Meisel and his genuine care, concern, and expertise that we now 8 years later have a special, healthy, happy, energetic grandson who has clearly been touched by an angel of a Dr. Every year as we celebrate Austin's birthday we give thanks and ask for blessings for Dr. Meisel whom we will never forget no matter how many years pass.

A+, Dr. Meisel is the best Complicated OB I have ever met. He took outstanding care of me with three of my pregnancies and I miss having him here in Kansas. He knows his stuff, is very kind and I praise him for his knowledge. His staff was awesome and they loved him dearly from everything I heard them say. I spent months off and on in the hospital between all the pregnancies and he made sure I was taken care of. He made me feel special like I was his only priority. He called me at home, talked with me about everything in words I could understand. He also took a personal interest in my life, in my family and treated all of us like members of his family. He saw how much we wanted to have a baby when we were losing each one of ours and offered to help us anyway he could. If you are in his area and need a good doctor, please give him a chance. I promise he will not let you down related to any of the care you will receive. His bedside manner is to be appreciated. He will sit down and just… talk with you, make you feel comfortable, build a positive relationship with you. Why can't all doctors be like him? It wasn't just about the money, he shown a true concern and love for what he does. I believe he even came to one of our babies funeral. We had so many people there, but I remember seeing him way in the back, standing quietly to pay his respects. How many busy doctors that our specialist take the time to do that? Not many. He also knew how to make a woman feel comfortable with a male doctor showing the most respect for a woman, her body and her beliefs. After several loses, Dr. Meisel was there when we gave birth to our son, he delivered him along with another doctor and the celebration between Dr. Meisel, my family and myself is something I will remember for a life time.
