Dr. Richard Ervin Neils, MD

Dr. Neils is excellent at what he does. He is very knowledgeable and reliably diagnoses and solves my concerns. He has been my dermatologist for many years. I like that he is efficient and straightforward, yet professional and courteous.

Basically told me I was wasting his time when I came in for a skin/mole check. Made me very uncomfortable. He is very rude. Wish we had another Dr. option in Watertown.

I've seen Dr. Neils a couple of times over the years because of the convenience of his location. He definitely knows his stuff, but he is so abrasive that I haven't felt comfortable describing my symptoms or having him look at my skin thoroughly, so my concerns were always left unresolved.

I genuinely appreciate that he has one Saturday morning a month available in Watertown for appointments. (He also has one Saturday a month at his Oconomowoc location as well.) Very professional. Extremely satisfied with my results from my treatment. Personable as well.

I have seen Dr. Neils multiple times and he seems very good at what he does BUT he can be very rude and condescending and his bedside manner is very lacking.

He is rude, sarcastic, and has a very condescending attitude. Does not care to answer questions. After giving him a couple tries, I will not go back; worth the drive to see a doctor that actually cares about the well being of their patients.

I was treated very rudely. He should not be seeing patients with his attitude.

My first appointment in 2015 was for a "mole" that just popped up and was growing, and I was concerned about. Dr. Neils said it was nothing. But he was late and very rushed so he spent very little time with me. Fast forward to 2016 - the "mole" had grown significantly so I went back. I told him I wanted it off and so he biopsied it. Yup - melanoma. Of course in a year it had went into deeper layers of my skin so I had to have wide-margins taken out of the location and lymph nodes removed to make sure it did not spread. If he would have taken it off in the first place, it likely wouldn't have been this involved.Thanks for the $25k in debt for your wrong initial poor diagnosis and decision making.

Dr Neils. Fast efficient cost effective. Excellent. The procedure was super fast and painless. A big 5 stars.

He told me I had acne. Gave me some suave. Went to a different doctor and found out I have Basil Cell Carcinoma. Yeah. nice evaulation
