Worst Medical Experience - Unprofessional and Overcharged This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical provider. What should have been a routine physical check-up turned into a nightmare. Misleading Information and Location Confusion: I initially scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hormazd Sanjana based on the information online, but I was redirected to Dr. Richard Palmer at another location without any clear communication. This caused unnecessary confusion and wasted my time as I first went to the wrong office. I later discovered that Dr. Palmer only has a 3-star rating on Vitals, which further concerns me. Upfront Charges for Covered Services: I was charged $172.01 upfront for an annual physical that should have been fully covered by my insurance. No explanation or breakdown of charges was provided at the time, and I didn’t receive a paper receipt. The only receipt I got was a vague email with a subtotal and no details of the services. Misrepresentation of… Services: I requested a simple routine physical, but my insurance company informed me that the clinic had billed for "treatment" and a "specialist consultation." I never requested to see a specialist, nor did I receive any treatment beyond the basic check-up. This feels like a clear case of misrepresentation and overbilling. Unnecessary Treatment: During the visit, the doctor briefly looked at my ears and unnecessarily instructed the nurse to flush them. Both the nurse and I agreed it wasn’t needed, but it was done anyway, leading to further confusion and frustration. To make things worse, there is no proper communication method. I received no responses to my emails or phone calls, and the overall lack of transparency, combined with the poor handling of my visit, has left me extremely dissatisfied. I strongly advise against this clinic due to their overcharging, unclear billing, and poor communication. Save yourself the trouble and find a provider who treats their patients with transparency and respect.

I have used Dr Palmer for 20 + years and he been a great physician. He has diagnosed some serious health issues upon a couple occasions that resulted in my admittance to the hospital and literally saving my life. Dr. Palmer is one of the best diagnostic doctors I have ever had in San Antonio. His compassion is also a added bonus. Thanks doc.

I visited Dr. Palmer for a second opinion on some issues that I've been having and some diagnoses that I've gotten. I have quite an extensive medical history and Dr. Palmer, I felt, was quite flippant about some of the issues that I felt were important. He made inappropriate comments while joking about some of my issues that I do not feel are a joking matter!!

I have taken both parents to this inept jerk......run, run away fast. poor service, poor bedside manor, never returns calls and forget a referral.

I like Dr Palmer personally but his staff is by far the worst in helping him with scheduling or handling patients in office.I waited exactly 1 hour in exam room for him on my last visit. When I looked at portal put on line for me the mistakes were numerous as to my personal profile and medical profile.

Cannot get return call except from staff member of Dr. Sanjana. Inquiry about a medication goes unanswered from Dr. Palmers assistants. Will make appointment instead of 3rd telephone call.

Not respectful of your time. Waited and waited and waited. Ended up leaving after asking how much longer, it had been an hour past my appointment time, got a very rude response directly from the doctor. My time is just as important. Actually more so given I am the patient.

Doctor spent more time analyzing the meaning of my last name and office politics instead of helping me with my medical problems. Strange personality. I would not recommend him.

I have been seeing Dr. Palmer for more than 20 years. I have followed him from place-to-place because he has always taken very good care of me. However, I had an appointment this morning at 8:30. I arrved at 8:15 and was placed in the examining room at 8:30. At 9:00 I still had not been seen. When I asked about the delay, I was told I was next. I was also told that he was off yesterday. I'm not sure what that has to do with my appointment. I'm not responsible for booking appointments. I walked out without seeing the Dr. Palmer. It seems there is very lillte respect for my time.
