Dr. Richard Wanzheng Pei, MD

Dr. Pei is an excellent OB. He has delivered 5 of my babies, including twins during the pandemic. He has a great bedside manner, very personable and knowledgeable. I trust and recommend him.

Dr. Pei is a superb doctor with accurate diagnostic ability and professional  considerations. He has excellent surgical skills due to his several years of plastic surgery training.  He performed four operations successfully for me during the past 15 years.  I'm very impressed and satisfied with the results. Dr. Pei is the best doctor I have ever seen!

Be aware that Dr.Pei doesn’t call or take calls to discuss any results. If you have any concerns about your health find another Doctor because he doesn’t care about his patients and is extremely unprofessional.

I set up my first pregnancy appointment, where I told the receptionist I was looking to do a blood test, and consultation to confirm my pregnancy, and learn new helpful information. This blood test would be able to show hcg levels that would be able to tell me exactly how far along I would be. When i went back for my consultation, the Dr only tried to convince me to get an ultrasound for $165, while I’m only 4 weeks pregnant. He was very sarcastic, and didn’t give any helpful information aside from that. I got up and left, I’m very disappointed, and spent $40 for absolutely no reason.

I made an appointment with Dr. Pei but wasn't able to see him, as the clinic staff were very rude, impatient and unprofessional. Just because I haven't meet my insurance deductible they asked me to bring cash or paycheck with the amount of 500+ dollars (average pregnancy ultrasound cost which should be around 250) before I go to see him. I asked many friends of mine and none of them have ever encounted such a situation in the U.S.

Top rated doctor, accurate diagnosis, excellent operating skills. Dr. Pei had made my life lot more enjoyable for the past 7 years. I'm very thankful. Thank You Dr. Pei and your friendly staff!

Maybe other people had better luck, but Dr. Pei is the best O.B. doctor I have ever had in my about twenty years of needs for an O.B. doctor. After two miscarriages "professionally" treated in other two highly-rated practitioner's offices, I came to Dr. Pei's office with my last precious pregnancy in my 40s. Dr. Pei evaluated my situation carefully and gave me all the attentions that I need, but no more. If you know how much steps and scary scenarios my friend got from her very expensive O.B. doctor, you will understand what I mean. My cause of baby-bearing turns to be as smooth as a normal (not high-risk) one. If some of these bad reviews were true, high-risk pregnancy would be the best chance for a doctor to rip off a patient, instead, Dr. Pei did not do any of the tricks. He only told me to relax and encourage me to think positively. Now we are enjoying our first baby boy and family is completed with his arrival. I feel totally blessed and will trust Dr. Pei's professional judgement… with no reservation. I didn't have time to write reviews and also wants to keep this doctor as a secret (so easier to make appoints), but surprisingly I read some bad reviews here and feel I have obligation to speak up. I understand the doctor-patient relationship could be full of tension sometimes, especially when a patient thought he or she is the only patient needing to be taken care of and they know more than a doctor, but for the sake of our health, we shouldn't let our bias or emotion stay in the way, or affect other patients' choice of doctors. Doctors' credential and professional experience should be more important than a spa-like clinic office. From my experience, I highly recommend Dr. Pei to every pregnant woman. It's true that English is not his native language, but I think his communication is clear and comprehensive. At least for each visit, you get to see the doctor himself instead of some practicing nurse. When technology advances, some English-fluent doctors could be easily replaced by AI MDs, but not doctors like Dr. Pei.

Dr. Pei was great!! He took time to answer all my questions and concerns. His staff are awesome!!! They were Friendly and prompt with requests.
