Dr. Richard Charles Richley, MD

After inititally diagnosing my ruptured lumbar disc and prescribing physical therapy and medication for a period of time, decision was made to do a laminectomy, which was very successful; have suffered no complications or recurrance of the terrible pain I was living with. All this was in 1979, so 33 years of relief was worth the experience of going under the knife by this excellent surgeon.

After suffering with two bulging disks and pain for 14 years, both my disks finally blew!!! Because the initial injury was a work comp case, work comp denied me any surgery consultation. I tried to find a Dr. that would let me pay cash. Dr. Richley became my blessing!! He saw me within two weeks after being bed ridden waiting for 6 months. He performed disk decompression surgery out patient on both disks one week later. I was able to get around on a cane with cosiderable less pain than I had felt in 14 years! One and a half years later he did a laminectomy on the one disk he was not able to successfully repair in the first surgery. By the time of the second surgery I was in such pain, that had I been unable to get out of bed without assistance and couild only lay there screeming in pain. After the laminectomy I was able to get up and walk with a walker the next morning. To me Dr. Richley is my savior and a saint. He gave me back a life that every Dr. up to that point had denied me… because they were not Doctor enough to stand up to a work comp insurance company. This is 22.5 years after the accident. I have only missed 4 months of work due to my injury since seeing Dr. Richley and more than 16 months of work and all these years of pain from seeing the inumerable work comp quacks. Today I had to go to a work comp Dr. that the work comp insurance co told me to. He tried to convince me that Dr Richley was not a good Dr. I told him that Dr Richley was the only Dr that had the guts and integrety to actually practice medicine and stand up for the patient against the deep pocketed Insurance Companies. If the Dr I saw today was half as good as Dr. Richley, He would not have to be supported by referrals on behalf of work comp insurance companies. Work Comp Drs work for the Work Comp insurance companies and a system that works against the patient.

Dr. Richley is fantastic! After years of pain and suffering this man improved my quaility of life 100%. It has been two years since my surgery and I am pain free. I highly recommend him!
