Dr. Richard Wayne Rickman, MD

I saw Dr. Rickman when I was in the Air Force at Moody. He took his time with all his patients there. When I had to find another PCM because I was forced to leave the base and find another doctor tri-care set me up with a loser. So I went on line and found my old doctor from Moody. When I saw him he hadn’t changed one bit. Still the same caring doctor who takes his time with his patients. Now that I have found him I am not going to leave him unless I have to. He is one of the best. I highly recommended him. He really cares about everyone he sees. Great doctor.

Dr. Rickman is an excellent doctor. I saw him when he was at Moody AFB. He hasn’t changed and is still a very good doctor. I will keep him as my primary care doctor for as long as I can.

I have utilized Dr. Rickman as my primary CARE physician for almost 10 years off and on. He is a very good physician but his staff are horrendous. Staff are for the most part lazy, and incompetent. You get the impression that they are there to do you a favor not provide a service! I brought this to Dr. Rickman's attention recently and he spoke to staff but I have not seen any iota of change in their attitude or performance. ONE GOOD EXAMPLE IS: i WAS PRESCRIBED A MEDICATION FOR A KNOW CONDITION WHICH REQUIRED A PRE AUTHORIZATION FROM MY MEDICARE INSURANCE PROVIDER. HIS STAFF NEVER FOLLOWED TROUGH WITH THE REQUIRED SUBMITTALS EVEN AFTER I BROUGHT IT TO HIS ATTENTION AND HE SPOKE TO THEM ABOUT IT. FOLLOWED UP WITH A CONFIDENTIAL LETTER TO HIM BUT NOT SURE HE EVER RECEIVED IT!

Dr Rickman is the most caring, compassionate, and thorough doctor I have ever been to. He diagnosed my heart failure, just by doing some simple blood test. And he is not a cardiologist. He is just a primary care, with a lot of ER experience. I am glad I found him before I went out of town to find a good primary doctor. I recommend Dr. Rickman very highly.

During my visit, he constantly put me at blame for being on what he considered to be the "wrong medication", which was prescribed by another doctor (as if that's my fault). He "diagnosed" me without ever examining me. When he finally did assess me, he didn't look at the main problem area. He was belittling me about this so called "wrong medication" and was talking to me like I was stupid, explaining why it was "wrong". I finally had to tell him that he didn't have to talk to me like that because I am a student nurse and I am perfectly aware of what antibiotics do and don't do.

Dr. Lynch likes to prescribes pills instead of finding the source of the problem.

DR RICKMAN NEVER CUTS YOU SHORT WHEN YOU ARE NEEDING TO TALK. HE DOES NOT ONLY HEAR YOU, HE LISTENS TO YOU. HE IS A DR WHICH YOU CAN REALLY FEEL SOMEONE CARES WHEN YOU LEAVE THE OFFICE. THE STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ALSO VERY ONE ON ONE WITH PEOPLE. I SAY ALL IS AS IT SHOULD BE IN HIS PRACTICE.
