Dr. Richard P Sherbahn, MD

I conceived my first child when I was 32 in 2 months of trying. After 3 years when we started trying there was no success so we chose help from a fertility clinic in Madison as I was living there at that time. The two years in that clinic was like a nightmare. Medically I had no problems and conceived my first son like a breeze. I knew there was no problem with me and there was some fault with the doctor's and the staff at the fertility clinic in Madison. Finally me and my husband decided to stop treatment as we did not want to waste our money on a fertility clinic that had no idea what they were doing. I prayed for a doctor who could help me. Finally I looked online and found Dr Sherbahn. I had a phone consultation with him and after 3 months he started the treatment for me. Within a month I got pregnant with twins. Today the twins are 4 months old. I would like to thank Dr Sherbahn and all the nurses that helped me through this journey. For me Dr Sherbahn was god send. He and the… nurses was so nice and professional with me during the course of my treatment at AFCC. I would highly recommend them.

Horrible treatment. We are a same sex couple that called for a consult regarding having our second child. After a $250 call, we decided to move forward with them. At that point, they told us they only accept sperm from 2 banks. Our sperm - the sperm that made our first child and that we obviously desire to use for our second - is at Seattle Sperm Bank. I spoke with a doctor there who said the policy is because it's "extra paperwork" for them to accept sperm from other banks, and that they've had "issues" with some other banks "before her time." She could not say what issues. She said she personally disagrees with the policy but she's "not in charge." I asked for a phone call with the head of the practice Dr. Sherbahn. His email: "There is nothing further to discuss. Dr. Catenacci and I have both explained the policy to you." Unbelievable that the head of the practice will not even call a potential patient to discuss a policy that he established and that those on his staff disagree… with. I used to think doctors worked for money and to help people. I was wrong. If Dr. Sherbahn and his practice were even remotely concerned with helping me and my wife conceive our second child they would complete this "extra paperwork" and accept the sperm we've successfully used to create our first child. I cannot imagine going to this clinic - a clinic that would limit its patients to 2 banks to avoid paperwork. We can do better!

We've been trying to get pregnant for over 3 years. We had 3 different clinics, but only with dr. Sherbahn we were able to got pregnant and it was our first ivf cycle with him. Now we are expecting two bundles of joy. THANK YOU DOCTOR!!!!!

Dr. Sherbahn was our fourth IVF doctor and our real last hope at starting a family. We had been to two doctors at FCI in Chicago and one at Northwestern. None gave us the type of information and statistics we received from Dr Sherbahn. The staff and nurses were very friendly and you always see the same nurse so you don't feel like a number here. My nurse called me back and responded to my emails promptly. I also liked the fact that Dr Sherbahn performed all of the major procedures which is not the case at the other clinics. We really felt guided and I trusted the information that we were given. If you are looking to use an egg donor I would highly recommend Dr Sherbahn as he has his own donors "in-house". You don't have to go through all of the trouble of finding an egg donor bank and any extra hassle. I was very happy with Dr Sherbahn and his staff and am now pregnant!

Before I found DR Sherbahn, I was worried about being childless for the rest of our lives with unexplained infertility. Luckily, I got pregnant on our first ivf round with the help from Dr Sherbahn and his staff. We are so grateful.

Advanced Fertility Centers of Chicago is okay if you are no older than 32 and not infertile. If you are over 35 and have diminshed ovarian reserve do not expect to receive personal care. In fact, you are more of an inconvenience to them because you are bringing down their statics, which is all they care about at this place. Save your money and tears and go elsewhere.

Rude & insensitive for no reason.

Miserable person and little compassion. Even yelled at his staff in front of us. Will not go back

I have done 3 IVF cycle in AFCC. The first round was positive and now we are looking our second baby. I have seen Dr Sherbahn few times, sometimes he is friendly and sometimes he isn't but we are with him because he is really good in his work. We are not looking for a friend, we are looking for a baby!
