I was nearly instantly comfortable with Dr. Singleton, which is rare for me with doctors. He listened well. He stayed as long as necessary to answer all my questions and I did not feel rushed. My friend came to my appointment with me. When Dr. Singleton left the room, I turned and said, “why can’t all doctors speak to you like that- just have a conversation, we are all human after all!” My friend replied, I know, right!” The other neurosurgeons I’ve seen want to cut immediately and ask questions later. With two spine surgeries under my belt, that’s not my style. Dr. Singleton understood my reluctance for surgery at this time and gave me other options to pursue back at home. The doctors at home were afraid of trying more conservative approaches, so I haven’t tried them yet. If I can even get another useful year out of my spine, I can finish my graduate degree! Thank you to Dr. Singleton for being such great listener and giving me recommendations for activities I can do at home.

As a “ young at heart” 65 yo person with an unexpected diagnosis, Dr Singleton took time to explain my diagnosis and treatment plan in great detail and allowed time for questions and grieving. His calm manner and reassurance for treatment and prognosis allowed me to focus on recovery versus disease. After doing my due diligence, research and finding Dr Singleton, I believe my future looks bright! His staff is personable, friendly and made me feel welcome! I highly recommend him and his practice.
