Dr. Richard A Strulson

Been going to the Doctor for almost 30 years--I would not go anywhere else---I know he will retire someday I hope when that time comes i will find someone just as good

I was recently diagnosed at University of Penn hospital with a pituitary tumor which could have been diagnosed years ago, with the proper lab work. I have been a patient over 7 years, and had this doctor checked my hormone levels, my condition would have been diagnosed years ago. The Penn neurosurgeon informed me the tumor was approximately 10 years old. Dr. Strulson recently discussed my condition with someone unrelated to me & one of his employees sent my CT scan results to a non-relative as well. How unprofessional - is the "HIPA. Law" non-exist in his practice? How disillusioned I've been. My pre-admission EKG at Penn, showed an issue, and was sent to Dr. Strulson for comparison with my last EKG. Not surprising he had nothing to compare, as he had never administered one in all my years as his patient. He even refused to contact Penn on my behalf. So, now I am faced with more tests, and my surgery has been postponed. I need to find a new primary doctor. Thank you Dr. Strulson for… your lack of concern. Think twice before putting your health & well-being in his hands!

Well lets start of with he basically saw me for 2 minutes and left to the next appointment before I was even done, he had to be called back in. Then he made a mistake on my referral and forgot to send in my prescription and when I went in to get it resolved his staff was extremely rude and he came out saying "who has a medical degree here, if you don't like how I work get a new doctor!" I was there with my mom and aunt who are both nurses and I'm a nursing student. Like really how rude he didn't know which one of us was his patient or what the problem was. I have never meet such rude nurses the entire time they had an attitude when it was their fault! The appropriate thing to do was to apologize for the mix up and fix it, not attack me for asking them to fix the problems. I can't believe these people took an oath to protect all live! Never going again!

I have been going to this Dr, for almost 25 years. I have since moved to NJ but still trave to Phila. to see him. He is the best!!
