Dr. Richard A Weddle, MD

I have been going to Dr. Weddle for many years and I think he is the best. Very compassionate and takes time to listen to me. Very sincere in what he says and very through in his examinations. Never a problem getting an appointment when I need it now. Always very friendly.

Asked for appointment with doctor while gastric symptoms (suspected ulcer) were severe. Couldn't see me then, rescheduled for weeks later. By then, symptoms were gone. He arranged for a gastroenteroscopy (sp?). I expressed doubt about undergoing this painful and expensive procedure while symptoms were absent. He said it didn't matter; that evidence would still be there. performed the procedure and it found nothing. To my utter amazement, he then explained that it was not surprising that it showed nothing, since I was not experiencing symptoms at that time. He informed me that I had acid reflux and handed me a sheet explaining that syndrome. I had never had any of the eight symptoms that this sheet enumerated. This experience was like something out of The Twilight Zone.My next gastroenterologist diagnosed gall bladder problems, operated to remove it, and my problems were cured.

Was weary to try after lack of information... was very knowledgeable and thorough when examining. Made me feel comfortable even though I was not. Easy to talk to, answered all of my questions and concerns.

Kept asking same questions over and over and didn't listen to my answers that I gave.

The Best for stomach problems.

Condescending and rude during a single follow-up I scheduled. Unsympathetic to the condition I've been suffering through for many years. Acted as though I was wasting his time, when indeed it seemed the other way around. Get a different doctor who isn't above discussing your problems with you. With this attitude, I wouldn't be surprised if he overlooked something serious from time to time.
