Dr. Richard B Weisberg, DO

I have been a patient of this doctor for many years. My cholesterol was high from day one, and he prescribed diet and exercise. After losing 22 lb. and not improving my cholesterol enough, his recommendation was "diet and exercise", so I stopped going to his practice. I went back recently and told him that I was taking over the counter capsules for cholesterol, and he told me that those don't work and that I should be taking statins. I told him that I needed a prescription for statins, not for OTC. During the visit this doctor recommended another visit (in just 2 months) for a series of tests called "Welcome to Medicare". The icing on the cake is that I was billed twice; as a "new patient" for the first visit, and today I received a statement for my "Welcome to Medicare" visit that I didn't need. My cholesterol was high again in the lab results after the visits and I had to call his office twice to ask for a prescription. He did not prescribed me the statins without pressure.

They say that a doctor is only as good as his front end staff and if that is the case then Dr. Weisberg is woefully lacking. The staff is rude and dismissive. Their phone manner and attitude are horrible. I have yet to see the doctor but instead have been seen twice by his Nurse Practicioner, Jennifer who has turned out to be the only bright spot in an otherwise unfriendly and a hostile environment. If your looking for compassion with a caring and competent front end staff, Dr. Weisberg is not the doctor for you. Looking around for a new MD.

Very rude and abrupt office staff. Terrible customer service over the telephone. Almost like you're bothering them by calling.

Don’t go here, you will be let down

Although I haven't seen Dr. Weisberg yet, I have seen Lindsay Black, PA and she is amazing. So caring and does above and beyond to find help. Very pleasant and easy to talk to. Very knowledgeable. I have had nothing but good experiences with her. Also the office is pleasant and answers your questions. I have to also say Destiny and Chris, medical assistants are also pleasant and kind. Nice calm atmosphere!

In right away, thorough and as always, a bit of humor!

I have never seen Dr. Weisberg. The office is a little blank as it looks as if they are going to pack up tomorrow and leave. The only 2 framed notices on the wall are crooked, and the literature is on the floor (no tables or clear brochure frames). The registered nurses seem kind and knowledgeable but do not really listen as I had to repeat things that I felt were ignored. I called to utilize the call-in prescription request (2x) and it was never fulfilled or even responded to; when I mentioned this at my appointment, it was met with we are changing our systems. I left a voicemail message on a machine - what system is that? On my second visit, I needed to utilize the restroom. I walked in and there was urine on the seat. I walked out and mentioned that the toilet was dirty and asked about it needing to be cleaned. I was handed medical gloves and some cleaning wipes. I had to clean the toilet myself if I wanted to utilize it. Due to insurance, I am stuck for this year, currently… searching for a new provider for next year. They also "mislabeled" my initial health visit and I was unable to claim it for work purposes and was charged more. This office was recommended to me by a satisfied patient. I wish I could say the same.

Staff could be more caring.

Dr Weisberg recommended that I get an MRI of the brain and see a neurologist, and diagnosed me with Ataxia; due to the diagnosis, I followed his instructions but had to cancel a trip to Ecuador, as I could not travel with the loss of balance, weakness etc.....a few weeks later, he obviously did not remember seeing me, said I had seen the ARNP (I didn't) and REFUSED to sign a trip insurance form!
