Dr. Richard Lee Westberry, PhD

I have been seeing Dr Westberry for three years. I wish I were more eloquent to describe his treatment and care. He is an exemplar in his field; a compassionate, human man who provides a true holding environment for myself and other patients. His qualifications and degrees do not do him justice. This psychotherapy was the best choice I have made thus far in my life and is reflected in my own functioning, self-esteem, and relationships with others. From the bottom of my heart, i thank you Dr. Westberry!

Dr. Westberry has been very helpful to me in dealing with my anxiety issues and some very big life changes. He is kind and empathetic and easy to talk to.

I have had a very positive experience with Dr Westberry as a Psychoanalyst. He is an empathic, patient and caring person who has helped me dramatically improved my life and well-being. In the course of my therapy, he has helped me cope with several problems including Anxiety, Depression, Self-Esteem, and overcoming a very difficult and painful past with many problem relationships. I have become more attentive to myself and others. Those around me have benefited from my continued therapy, as I have become a better friend, brother, son and parent. He has an incredible depth of knowledge, and has helped me understand not only why I do things, but also how I relate to others and how they may relate to me.

I've had a wonderful experience with Dr. Westberry. For anyone who wonders whether psychotherapists are cold and calculating, who just stare at you while you wonder what they are thinking, he shows that this is an outdated stereotype. He meets you as a fellow human being, and is effortlessly genuine and approachable. Coming to someone for help, you want to feel understood rather than looked at as a case or a problem to be fixed. This is certainly what you can expect here. This is not one size fits all therapy, and he treats his patients like unique individuals. I hoped to get to know myself and was also desperate for some relief, and am finding my way to some peace.
