Dr. Rick Don Neumeister, MD

After seeing Dr. Neumeister for decades, I was called to remind me that I was due for my annual eye exam. My brother was dying in another state at the time, so I said that I couldn’t schedule right then, and I would call to schedule at a later date. . I then received a threatening letter saying that if I didn’t call for an appointment immediately, I would be dropped as a patient. I still couldn’t schedule because the situation with my brother hadn’t changed. Shortly after that I received a second letter, telling me to look for another doctor because I had refused to follow the doctor’s medical advice. Wow!!! I had stayed with Dr. Neumeister for years, even though wait times are long, and the staff is not particularly friendly, because of loyalty. Unfortunately, that loyalty was one-sided.

The experience was horrible with dr Rick Neumeister and his staff. They are disorganized, he does not like being criticized. I had appointments and then they were switched and canceled by his staff. I questioned his diagnosis and i was told that i should never come back. He does not like questions, They never took the time to look deeper into my eye issues. also mispronounced my name over and over again. Coming to Montana from Texas and before that NYC. I find the level of care in Missoula to be less than adequate. If you are happy with doctors who doesn't listen and is adverse to criticism. then see Rick Neumeister.
