Dr. Medel is a fellowship-trained board-eligible neurosurgeon with interests in cerebrovascular disorders and stroke, skull base surgery and brain tumors as well as spine disorders and general neurosurgery. He completed his residency training program at the University of Virginia as well as a fellowship in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery at the University of Virginia. He is also one of a select few neurosurgeons in the country dual-trained in both traditional open microsurgery and minimally invasive endovascular neurosurgery for vascular disorders of the brain and spine.
