Dr. Ripudaman Singh Hundal, MD

I've been Dr. Hundal's patient since I moved to DE in 2020, and every experience with his office has been terrible. I'm type 1 diabetic. A nurse practitioner told me not to get COVID booster. Another nurse practitioner didn't understand what a carb ratio was. Whenever I need a new rx or documentation sent to medical supply company for CGM, it requires WEEKS of me calling them every day to get them to do it. (They'll say they did, but then it turns out they didn't, or they sent the wrong doc.) This time they're taking so long that I am now without my CGM materials. After almost 3 yrs of this, I'm now taking time off work to figure out where there is another endocrinologist within an hour's drive that takes my health insurance and is accepting new patients, so that I can finally put Dr. Hundal's office behind me. Do yourself a favor, and do the work NOW to find someone -- ANYONE -- else to be your endocrinologist.

Repeatedly lost my insurance information, forgot I moved and started seeing another doctor at another practice, charged me without telling me, and I only found out when I checked my voicemail and found a message threatening to take me to collection for a non-existent bill. Also made unneeded comments about my weight despite knowing the condition he was treating me for caused weight gain. 0/5

This office is beyond uncaring and difficult to work with. We have tried going here at 6 mo. intervals but the Doctor seems vague and distracted and the office staff are impossible. They WILL NOT refill prescriptions via phone requests. I need to find another endocrinology office

This office doesn't see returning patient voicemails and emails as a priority. Dr. Hundal appears to agree!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hundal for three and a half years and it’s been nothing but trouble. Yeah, he found my thyroid cancer, but it took him FOUR MONTHS to tell me about it. I’ve also been having all sorts of complications since regarding my medications. He REFUSES to believe that I have any issues. He also takes every opportunity he can to call me fat and REFUSED to fill out FMLA paperwork for me because in “more than 20 years, he’s never had to fill out FMLA paperwork for a thyroid condition.”

Most Doctors these days want to push pills since most of them get a kickback...He is no exception. Asked him about natural supplements for diabetes and he blew off the question. Didn't listen every well during my visits.

I have been seeing Dr Hundal for over 10 years and as an RN I can say that he is a wonderful clinician and diagnostician. His office staff has a bit to be desired but when I went to his new office last month, I had a great experience and saw new faces. I recommend Dr Hundal to patients and friends alike.

Dr. Hundal is a great doctor, but having to deal with his office staff before and after a visit is very frustrating. So the question is, How much are you willing to deal with in order to have Dr. Hundal as your doctor?

Dr. Hundal seems competent when I can actually see him, which is almost never. Instead, I get shunted off to a nurse practitioner who doesn't know my history or treatment plan and doesn't bother to read it before giving out incorrect info about what labs and scans I need. She doesn't listen, is always in a rush, and then if you call later to straighten things out, both answering service staff and office staff HANG UP ON YOU if you dare feel upset enough to shed a tear.
