Dr. Rishi Balkissoon, MD

Dr. Balkisoon was a doctor my Primary Care physician referred me to for severe left hip pain. He took time to listen and explain my options (after we reviewed my X-rays). We both decided hip replacement was the best choice. It’s been 6 months and I couldn’t be happier! My left hip is doing great and the surgery and post-op went well. I can’t recommend Dr. Balkisoon enough!

My painful hip joint was destroyed by arthritis, and I was grimly headed for life in a wheelchair when Dr. Rishi Balkissoon and his cadre of talented professionals operated on me and restored my mobility. I had resisted surgery because of my age and other health problems. After a relatively painless procedure, and in a shorter time than I would have believed possible, I CAN NOW WALK AGAIN!

Dr Balkissoon is a talented, gifted, personable surgeon. I was so lucky to be his patient for a knee replacement. His surgical skills are enhanced by his human skills..... approachable, caring, considerate, respectful. I recommend him at the top of a list and will certainly use him for my second knee.

This guy just wants to make money off your misfortunes by passing you around from Doctor to Doctor and preforming unnecessary surgery!!

I have personally known and worked with Dr Rishi for 3 years. I had Bi Lateral Hip Replacement surgery done at 25 years old. He has helped me along the way with Yearly monitoring and problems I had thought not fixable. Thank you Dr Rishi!!

I have had many surgeries and I can honestly say this Dr. has been the most caring, concerned and best surgeon I have ever had. When I first went to him we tried shots in both knees to see if it would help and then I wouldn't have to have surgery. By the time I did that for awhile I finally realized that I had to do something to get the situation under control. Dr. Balkissoon gave me all the pros and cons and told me all about the pain associated with the replacement. After the surgery he came to see me every day I was in the hospital. He has been a wonderful support system during my recovery and his team is wonderful. I would recommend him to everyone. He is by far the best there is. He takes time with everyone to discuss each and every different problem. He's tops in my book.

Three months ago I had my left hip replaced by Dr. Balkisoon and his team. I had a speedy and almost painless recovery. I am already routinely walking 4-5 miles at a time and have recovered a range of motion I had forgotten I had.

Dr. Balkissoon is a wonderful surgeon and patient advocate. He takes the time to explain things in detail and helps patients to understand all their options. He also lets patients ask questions and listens to them. He makes his patients feel comfortable and valued. He performed knee replacement surgery on me and I am finally pain free and able to do all of my favorite activities once again. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Balkissoon and his NP Jayne Cooper. They are the best!
