Dr. Sawhney and his staff are wonderful. When I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, he explained my diagnosis and treatment in a manner I could understand. His calm demeanor helped alleviate my fears and allowed me to concentrate on my healing. He is kind and compassionate. These are traits shared by his staff from his Physician Assistant Amita Saggi, to the receptionists, the lab technicians, and the nurses in the infusion center. They make a difficult time less stressful. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Sawhney and his staff guiding my treatment.

Dr. Sawhney gave my mother 18 bonus months beyond her stage 4 pancreatic cancer diagnosis. We were so grateful to have that time with her, and it would not have been possible without Dr. Sawhney and his team. Thank you!

I just completed 18 months of IVIG treatments with Dr Sawhney. He is very professional, easy to talk to and caring. He spent time with me during each IVIG session to see how I was doing as well as answer any questions, concerns I had. He monitored my progress via labs and explained my results to me. I also observed the other doctors interacting with their patients. They all were professional, caring and patient. The admin staff are excellent, Over the 18 months, I had a number of nurses responsible for administering my IVIG. They were all professional not only to me but to the other patients I observed. They were patient in explaining what was going to happen as well as being caring and genuinely concerned about my well being. I have been a cancer patient of Dr Sawhney for almost six months now. I have had two nine week rounds of chemo and have now completed four out of a twelve week session as well. I am amazed by the feeling of love and care I get each week as I go there. From the receptionist who calls me by name in a crowded waiting room to the people who draw blood and then the person who weighs me and takes blood pressure to the very friendly nurses who come to start my procedure. I have never been treated in any way accept friendly, professional, kind, caring and very supportive. Dr Sawhney is no different from his employees. He is honest, straightforward and very supportive. I have responded well to treatment, however a little depression can creep in. This team makes me leave each week with encouragement and a great feeling of self esteem. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in May 2017. Dr. Rishi Sawhney provided outstanding medical care to me in a kind, considerate, and reassuring manner. He is truly always there for his patients.

When you are referred to a Hematologist/Oncologist at least for me my anxiety level was through the roof. Dr. Sawhney took the time to explain to me and my husband the various conditions I might have based upon an IGM protein in my blood. He listed and drew a diagram on a piece of paper of different scenarios and tests that he might conduct. Never have I had any Doctor take the time to do this. I carried this paper with me to each appointment and Dr. Sawhney would add notes along our journey. Today, I received my diagnosis and while I have a form of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, my PET scan was clear and I will be under surveillance every 3 months with Dr. Sawhney. I recommend him and his entire staff.

Today is the last session of my chemotherapy cycle. I know I may need additional treatments in the future but I am very happy to get through these last 18 weeks. I want to thank the team at Valley Medical Oncology for the wonderful treatment they have given me. Although I will be back for check-ups or additional treatments, I have the confidence that I have beat my cancer….at least at this “go around”. Every time I have come into their office, everyone has made me feel special. The culture in the office is amazing. With all of the challenges they face every day, they stay positive, caring, friendly, and compassionate……and always with a smile. The team in this office truly offers every patient those gifts of support. I want all of them to know how much this was appreciated.

Dr. Rishi Sawhney was recommended to us because my mother's blood work showed antibodies that no one else could identify. Dr. Sawhney not only identified those antibodies but he found reasons for other problems my mother had had for years! Having Dr. Sawhney as my mother's doctors has made a big difference. Before it was, "That runs in the family". Now it's, "That runs in the family and this is what we are going to do about it". Dr. Sawhney respects our views on blood tranfusion and is well informed on alternative methods. He is very thorough in his work and genuinely concerned about each patient. He and his staff are knowledgeable, professional, caring and easy to talk to. Dr. Sawhney is one of her many doctors that she never complains about going to.
