Dr. Rita Christina Carabello, DO

Never seeing this doctor, because it's impossible, I called office in November and been told that soonest I can see doctor is in February, she just moved two new office and took practice from another doctor, her priority is patients from her previous office. Why in a hell you have to see a doctor's? Terrible service’s and even to refill prescriptions headache. This is the worst service I ever saw it.

Please let me know if Dr. RITA located to another practice. She is not at the Porter Street location. Thank you.

I went to new Porter Office and sign on door says location closed. I just rescheduled last week. No one called or sent mail or any contact. ANYONE KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON? Was patient for 8 years. 3 other people there also very upset. Somewhat unprofessional. Voice mail box full!!! ANYONE KNOW WHAT Happened?

This office is horrible. She has way too many patients. She is nothing like she use to be when she first started out. The girls in the office are horrible - they make you feel as if you are interrupting them and they are there for socializing not to work. Nobody calls you back either. Looking to find a new doctor.

She used to be a great caring Doctor that would spend time listening to her patients concers and would answer questions. NOT ANYMORE! She is now dismissive and condescending! She needs another physician or PA in her office. The receptionist area is a JOKE! They have no idea how to treat patients (customers). They are rude, never answer the phone and are not very nice to the elderly. Absolute zero for customer service. TIME TO FIND ANOTHER PRIMARY CARE DOC!

The doctor is wonderful and takes the time to care about every patient. The front desk staff, especially Chelsea, could not be less professional and need training on how to properly behave in a doctors office. There is no answering machine so when you call, the calls are screened by number and they never answer the phone or call you back when you call over and over trying to get someone to answer. If there was an answering machine, it would be more convenient. When they do answer the phone, you are met with an attitude from the staff. They will ask who is the patient and why you’re calling. If you say you want to leave a message for the doctor, they ask the reason, but not to write it down in a message but to be nosey. If you say the reason is private and you would just like the doctor to call you back for a personal reason, they will ask over and over what is the issue and say they will not relay the message if you do not tell them what the call is about. It is none of the front desk… staff’s business why you call the doctor. Also, if you call and say your name, Chelsea will somehow know your medical information off the top of her head without looking at your chart and will go against the doctor’s orders and tell you how or why choices in your care should be made. She will involve herself in your medical care, while having no medical training or degree and tell you how things will be. Chelsea plays gatekeeper to the doctor and will be cocky or yell on the phone and then lie to the doctor and say that you were the one to yell at her. She gaslights patients and will tell them that they are the only patient she has a problem with when dozens of people have come forward about her and her hideous behavior. She should not be working with patients as she is rude, manipulative and degrading. She will say some of the nastiest things to a patient and then when someone else tries to help calm the situation down, she flat out lies and uses a condescending tone to act like a victim in the situation. Chelsea plays with people’s medical information like it is a game and the last place she should be working in is healthcare. She should have been fired years ago but the doctor is too busy being overbooked by the staff and there is no way to reach her to explain the truth of the situation.

Love Dr. Rita, front desk staff not so much. Heard they are being replaced. Now I can feel at ease. They acted like the movie mean girls. Almost gave up. But the doctor is wonderful.

It’s a shame to give Dr. Carabello two stars because she is a pretty good doctor. There are two big problems with this office, it sees too many patients for Carabello to handle and the front desk staff is atrocious. They answer the phone like catty high school girls and give attitude when you are in need of an appointment immediately due to illness. If Carabello wasn’t over booked with patients, you would actually be able to get in for a sick visit. When you get into the doctors office, the front desk staff treats you as if you just interrupted their day when you need to ask them something. The wait is also horrendous even while having an appointment. Dr. Carabello would be more successful if she cut down on patients and found a whole new receptionist staff.

The ladies at the front desk would rather gossip then do their work. I have never been able to call them and have them do it right on the first time. If it takes some effort they won’t do it until you continue to ask them about it. The unprofessionalism shown by them is astounding.
