So the good thing is that Dr. E will not just prescribe you drugs and will tell you to change your diet. That's important because most other doctors never think about nutrition. She also has supplements (her own store adjacent to the office), and a place where you can get IVs for vitamin C and chelation. She does do a few functional medicine tests (stool, heavy metals, spectracell). She never went over my stool results so IDK what to make of them. Her food sensitivity testing is not the gold standard so don't do it. The bad is that she is constantly saying that her dad invented this or that and that she's been published for this and that. So hard to get her to listen to new ideas. She wants all women to be on hormone therapy before menopause, even when labs are normal. She will over prescribe thyroid meds. She doesn't remember what your main complaints are and just says hormones and throid will fix everything. Oh, and she is part of a multi-level marketing supplement called Juice… Plus. Tells everyone to take it. The whole office was out one day on a sales retreat for the stuff. Shady.

Dr. Ellithorpe is an incredible and gifted doctor. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and was despair with my oncologist whose only focus was surgery and medication. Dr. Ellithorpe introduced me to a whole new way of healing the body through Chelation, IV C Therapy and the right nutrients to bring the body back to wholeness. Little did I know that if the immune system cannot get back to normalcy, the body will not be able to heal properly. I had a significant amount of inflammation going on in my body prior to my diagnoses of Cancer. Dr. Ellithorpe is very thorough and did a lot of testing to determine the right steps to take with my care. She is also very caring and compassionate. She truly cares about the wellbeing of her patients and provides a very well-rounded approach. She reviews all labs, reports and thoroughly goes through them with you. Because of her years of knowledge, she does provide a lot of information during your visits, so be prepared. Its best to do your… own research before you go to see her so you have your questions ready. And, she is always there to answer any additional questions you have. I trust Dr. Ellithorpe with my complete health and we are already seeing amazing results on her plan. I am diligent and committed so that makes all the difference in my healing. I appreciate receiving direction, care and advise from such an expert as Dr. Ellithorpe. I am truly blessed under her care. Also, all her staff is wonderful as well. They all have caring hearts, and everyone has their own story for being there. Amazing place.

I have been going to Dr. Rita Ellithorpe for 15 years. Not only does she stay on the cutting edge in the science of medicine, she improves her patient's entire bodies. I am constantly told I look younger than my age. She teaches and holds a patient accountable for their own health guiding them to improvement. One cannot practice bad habits and take a magic pill. Dr. E. has established a team of doctors at TLC who follow in her footsteps. In talking to other patients, they too are hugely enthusiastic about all of the doctors in her medical group. Their passion is healing the entire body. I have never felt so nurtured at a medical group as at TLC.

She is always in a hurry and does not take the time to explain throughly. She says she is not in a position to teach science when asked a question. She takes thyroid to speed up her metabolism so that she can lose weight. She smokes!

I cannot say enough praise for Dr. Ellithorpe and her staff. I came to her clinic with little hope having seen many other "similar" doctors for my chronic illnesses. I was hesitant to try again after so many failures and being treated like an inconvenience at other clinics, however I had heard so many good things about Dr. Ellithorpe through friends and acquaintances that I decided to give it one more try. After my first visit, I felt encouraged, inspired and cared for which all gave me the courage to place my trust in her protocol. After a few weeks, my symptoms had significantly diminished and my energy was returning. After a few months, I felt better than I can remember feeling in my twenties!
