I like Dr Mckergy style and straight forward explanation of things. She listens and then gives her opinion in an encouraging way. I like her bright upbeat positive attitude and dress. She knew my labs and ABD US results before she came in the room and was up to speed on my history. I like that

I learned more in the first few minutes with this visit than the entire 8 days in the hospital. It was obvious from the start that the doctor was familiar and already had the strategy for getting me through this illness. It made my wife and I feel comfortable and confident that we have a successful plan to get through this.

I think the doctor needs to remember most people are dealing with this for the first time. We were learning on the fly....its a terrible feeling. There is so much we just did not understand. I think a patient care specialist could be a good addition .

First time visit talk to PA first not friendly then to Dr Rita Maity Mukherjee md. She wasn’t friendly at all I ask one question She said I am your Doctor not your friend. This came out of no where. After she finished she ask did I have any questions I told her no. For me being a new patient she was very rude.

My orthopedic doctor wanted to schedule hip surgery. Dr Maity treated me for blood clots, Doctor. Maity Did not address the risk of hip surgery with my orthopedic surgeon, After a visit with her, she was supposed to notate in the records to the orthopedic surgeon, her advice and notes, addressing the risk of me having hip replacement. She didn’t do it, My orthopedic doctor was really surprised that Doctor Maity Didn’t even have any type of notation about my blood clot condition. This shows lack of concern for a patient, Facing hip replacement with blood clot conditions already. Because I already have a medical background, I asked her a simple questions concerning why I’m getting blood clots and Was it related to my previous surgery on my left knee. She got an attitude and snapped at me. When I first visited her, she said it was a good possibility that the blood clots are from the surgery that I had before the blood clots. At that time I asked her to note that in my records, I… retrieved the records, and there was no notation in the records, stating what she had said. She continued to have an attitude. So I called the patient advocate office to switch,She continued to have an attitude. So I called the patient advocate office to switch oncologist. I’m being referred to another doctor , To my delight ,I also was told that she just up and quit working at the VA. I am glad that I’m going to see another doctor and not going back to see Dr. Maity

Attending doctor for spouse in hospital. Not my choice. Very poor communication skills, and did not follow up on requests for information.
