Dr. River M Elliott, MD

Dr. Elliott was thorough and caring. He has a great sense of humor and he’s very brilliant. My brother also went to UPenn so we had a nice connection. And although looks have nothing to do with being a good doctor, but, it doesn’t hurt that he is fine. I felt safe and cared for.

During every appointment I have had with Dr. Elliot he explains things in ways I can understand, lays out all of my options, offers advice when asked to, and I always leaving feeling heard, taken care of, and on the right track going forward. I highly recommend Dr Elliot if you have medical concerns with your hands.

Dr. Elliott was very personable but professional. During my first appointment, there was never a moment when I felt rushed. He thoroughly examined my wrist and did not commit to carpal tunnel. He gave possibilities as to what may have caused my extreme pain but he needed tests before diagnosing. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Elliott in the future. My husband and I have both been extremely pleased with the care we have received at OSS.

Dr Elliott was very patient with me. He took the time to show me what was going on with my arthritis in my hand. Why he wouldn’t do surgery till I am 65 & older. He explained everything in a kind way & he went over pain management that can help my symptoms. Gave me some information to read & told me to keep him updated & let him know when I was ready for my next round of shots! So glad that I found him! He is a God send!

We are so thankful for Dr. Elliot's knowledge, skill, professionalism and care of our son. Our son had a very bad break of two bones in his wrist and he is doing fantastic after surgery and physical therapy.

Dr. Elliot provided great care to my teen when he needed surgery for a broken finger. He explained everything, kept my son involved with the care and was extremely professional.

Dr. River Elliott is a really good surgeon. I felt comfortable with him and trusted his judgement even though I didn't like to get the surgery on my wrist, but he helped me understand how truly important it was to get the surgery, or I would probably never be able to do what I do best in my massage therapy career. The truth hurts, and it was tough to take it all in; it was emotional for me. So, I had my surgery last week on Friday morning, and I felt really good about my overall experience at OSS, and everybody was good to me, and I really liked the anesthesiologist that was with me; he was super cool. However, I have a long way to go to recovery and hopefully getting back to the normal grind in my career. My overall experience at OSS so far is above & beyond my expectations. Thank you Dr. Elliot; I'm looking forward to seeing you again at the next appointment.
