Dr. Rizwana Zaidi, MD

I think Dr. Zaidi is an all round physician. She really is so put together. She has a vast amount of knoweldge, I cant say enough. I've seen her both in the hospital and out, and she always is so attentive. So much better than all the other male physicians I have seen. If you have an issue, Dr. Zaidi will solve it. She really has an understanding of medicine.

Most compassionate caring physician. She always spends her time listening and taking care of my needs. So amazing I found my one doctor that cares.

Don't normally write reviews, but she diagnosed my cancer at my first visit with her. Because she didnt like one symtom I was having she kept doing tests. Im so glad Dr Zaidi was my doctor! I now can be with family. I appreciate this time more than ever. Can't say enough good things.

My mom was in the hospital and was fairly sick. Septic shock, pneumonia, flu maybe, kidneys failing, fluid building up. It felt like we were losing her. It wouldn't get better. I had lost hope. Them shifts changed and dr zaidi came on service. First day she asked to sit and see what I knew and if I understood. Then she weighed the options on treatments. Everything was affecting everything. My mom's first doctor kept pushing hospice over and over. I was about to say yes, but Dr Zaidi actually was the one who said, let's wait and see how she does. Im forever grateful to her and her presence. She knows what shes doing. I would trust her with my life. She gave me my mom back. No thanks can repay that.

Best best best physician in the dmv. Actually knows medicine. I've been seeing different doctors and each time each ones says something different. I was seen by her in the hospital a while back and when I noticied she had a clinic I ran over. By far the best overall physician. She took meticulous care of me the hospital when I had covid. She actually would gown up and come and sit in my room and listen. She went the extra mile. Medicine is complex, if you hear her explanations you'll knows what shes doing.

I had been suffering from relentless digestive upset, unexplained weight gain, and persistent itching. After consulting multiple doctors and undergoing countless tests, no one could help me. I went on a whim and saw Dr Zaidi, because one of my friends sees her. I gave her a shot. She listened, really listened to my story. After reviewing my test results, she suggested I might be dealing with histamine intolerance, I guess I cant break it down due to a low enzyme. She explained that although everything looked “normal,” the balance between my histamine intake and processing was off, triggering my symptoms. She recommended a short-term low-histamine diet, avoiding foods like aged cheese, fermented products, and processed meats, and guided me through an elimination and reintroduction plan to pinpoint my triggers. It took some time, but dude she worked with me. Within days, the itching started to subside subside, my GI issues started improving, and I began to feel like myself again. I… thought I would never never never figure out what was wrong. Dr. Zaidi found the cause, even though I saw 5 or more specalists in the past 2 years, honestly best physician ive ever seen.

I hardly write reviews but I have to in this case so maybe it can help save someone else's life. She was my father's general doctor at Fairfax Hospital and I was absolutely disheartened by her lack of compassion, empathy and care. She and rest of docs who came to see my dad came whenever they wanted throughout the day unlike other hospitals who come in the mornings. But worst of all was her inexperience and lack of knowledge. Her team never followed protocol to check my father's bacteria culture as soon as they saw that his lactic acid was above 2. They tried thiamine or vitamin B1 which didn't work and then said ok, it must be a bi-product of cancer and said bye bye take him to hospice simply cuz he was 80 and has "advanced cancer" which in the prostate world does not mean much. Not once did an oncologist came to see my dad in this hospital and reviewed the extent of his cancer even though they admitted him in the Oncology unit. Dr. Zaidi kept telling me "this is his new normal" with… no compassion and even told my dad and mom "this is end of life for you". So incredibly insensitive. Now that my father is in Fair Oaks hospital and fighting for his life, I see the difference between level of care and compassion. Not to mention we find out my father now has bacteria in his blood which her team failed to check. Dr. Zaidi really needs to think twice about how she treats her patients and should spend more time studying medicine. Please avoid her and Fairfax Hospital at all costs if you can. Fair Oaks hospital although a part of INOVA is incredible.

She is rude she doesn't listen to her patients the only thing she concerned about is herself and money my husband has sickle cell disease he's swollen from the hip down to his feet can't walk in a lot of pain she hasn't even managed to his pain and she wants to discharge him from the hospital basically it's her way or no way she doesn't look at him she doesn't check his feet or legs that's swollen she hasn't done anything she doesn't listen to his chest it's her way or no way in like I advise everybody to stay away we will be contacting a lawyer this is unacceptable
