I had severe cramping in the middle of the night and something felt "off" with my pregnancy. I called to ask for an earlier appointment, and the receptionist took a message that morning. No one called me back, and when I called them hours later, their office closed for the day. Great. I had to call them back later and they moved my appointment time up. In the meantime, I called my GP's office and told them about how this OB/Gyn practice was neglecting my care, so they ordered blood hormone levels to get my hcg and progesterone checked to make sure my pregnancy wasn't ectopic (life threatening!) or too weak. I got them done over the weekend and turns out, my repeat hcg levels were not doubling as they should and my progesterone was too low! Ultimately, I needed to get a STAT ultrasound by the doctor, but I couldn't because I hadn't been seen by Dr Siddiqui yet to order one. Very anxious, I waited and went to my appointment to the address listed on their website for their OB/Gyn… Plainfield office. Little did I know, they have 2 Plainfield offices, and they didn't tell me which one was the right one until I showed up to the wrong one and called to tell them I was 5-7 minutes late. The nurse put me on hold and came back saying the doctor won't be able to see me! I asked her to please tell the doctor that I had my hormone levels checked and they were abnormally low and typical with what an ectopic/unviable pregnancy is and I needed to get an ultrasound because I am currently at the high risk time period where ectopic pregnancies occur. The nurse put me on hold, and came back to say Dr Siddiqui said that I should probably go the ER if I want to be seen then. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE bedside manner. I found a better OB/Gyn's office after who said Edward Medical Group's OB/Gyn should have found someone to see me after I first told them I wasn't feeling right and had the severe cramping, but they didn't. They blew me off. And even after knowing my hormone levels were consistently low, they recommended I go to the ER when I was a few minutes away! Here's my thing, I could have done their job and clarified which office in Plainfield I was going to be seen at, but to knowingly suggest that my case is urgent enough to go to an ER and still put me off is further evidence of malpractice. See this practice at your baby's own risk!
