We use to go to that office for many years , #DrAdams #DrRobertAdams #DrRobertStarkAdams told us my husband had IBS and insisted it was IBS ( IT WAS CANCER NOT IBS ) after we begged for testing for Cancer because of the family history on his side, his mother just passed of lung Cancer and his sister just got breast Cancer and they refused . They commented that these Cancers are unrelated and don't fall in the basic common groups all unrelated ! We went 5 times in 2 months for the same thing , with symptoms of Cancer and I begged for Cancer screening , and was told they were between systems on one visit and on the next visit told they could not find the codes to test for Cancer blood panel and would have to send us to another practice for that but would recheck on the next 6 month follow up . we didn't wait 6 months for a follow up ! I remember ON every visit they touched my husbands liver and asked if it hurt he said yes , he was loosing a lot of unexplained weight and had diarrhea for… over 6 wks , extremely fatigue had to come home mid day to take a nap , first symptoms then he explained when he went to the bathroom it was like a basket ball wanted to come out but nothing came out . If you google these 3 things Colon Cancer comes up first thing ??? Then on the last appointment he had lost a lot of muscle mass and they said oh we have a problem his liver is to big . Still insisting it was IBS and said he would refer us to a GI to wait for the call and we never got that call , not sure of the referral ever even went out ????? I left the office on the last visit and begged the Cancer center to see my husband without a diagnosis of Cancer they said No , I asked for a supervisor and explained what my husband looked like with loss of muscle loss etc, and without even seeing him they said yes . We were told by Dr. Yaffe my husband had Stage 4 Colon Cancer and the liver was full of Cancer , if we came sooner and even a month early it would have made a difference if we caught it sooner ,at this point they could only prolong his life now for maybe 2 years . He did pass at 2 yrs later at 52 yrs old . He was a hard working , loving , giving human that deserved better treatment or at least a doctor willing to take the time to listen and care !!!! I was told by many doctors we should take them to court it was a open and closed case but my husband did not want to because he felt it would not save him , so we did not . But now I feel we should to save another life possibly !!!! :( the only reason I am sharing my story is to possibly saves a life ! Listen to your body and inner thoughts , get a 2nd and 3rd opinion because it is a practice they are not specialist . They also misdiagnosed or missed a good friends Brain Cancer I was told by Dr Adams the way he diagnoses a brain Cancer is by just looking up your nose !!! ?????? I thought he was joking but he was not ! My friends father passed as well from a brain tumor , :( !!!!! My experience !!!!

There are fortunately many doctors around Knightdale to choose from. I recommend selecting anyone else.

Dr. Adam's saved my life.. He is the best Dr. I have ever had.

I felt special from the time I arrived until the minute I left. Dr. Zhou also saw me and she is wonderful, capable and caring.The staff here is amazing! They make me feel good even when I am getting blood or X-rays.Wow.

He rushed through my history and made a diagnosis before he even did a physical exam. He discounted most of my symptoms and ran only one test which was negative for the disease he was sure that I had. I would not recommend seeing him.

I called to find out if they were taking new patients, first response was "what kind of insurance do you have? I said BCBC then she responded "yes we are, can you hold" waited for 5min on hold then when she was taking my information she was just plain rude. If this is how they treat people over the phone I wonder how they treat you in office! Not going to them at all!!!

I have seen alot of medical profesionals over the last few years and I find Dr. Adams to be one of the better ones. He seems to really care about his patients and is willing to go the extra mile if needed. He actually listens and isn't afraid to say that he might not have the answer but we'll keep looking until it is found.

If you make my mistake and think Dr. Adams is a great personal care doctor. He over rode my gastroentist as to what surgeon for me to do my intestine surgery. So I went with his recommendation, what I did not know was that they are buddies and this surgeon was the worst I have ever come in contact with. My aftercare was so unreally bad between both dr.s. Dr. Adams would not sign off for me to see a wound care Dr. nor would the surgeon. They were going back and fourth between the two of them while in the mean time my wound was getting worst and worst. I recommend any one looking into going to Dr. Adams beware of who he sends you to and you had better have alot of money to care for your aftercare if you are sent to any one he sends you too.....

I really like Dr Adams and staff. They are friendly and courteous. Dr. Adams always takes the time to talk to you and explain the medical problems you are having. My only concern is that I don't always follow thru so I wish I could get an electro shot from there to make me more conscious of what I should be doing. But that is on me! He is a great doctor and gives immediate and knowledgeable care with an all knowing expertise. I appreciate this!
