Dr. Robert Otto Aepli, MD

Overall Aepli and his office were great to us. Quick appointments, easy scheduling, clean office. He's clearly been doing this a long time and knows whats up.The lady who comes in to do the ultrasounds was somewhat unfriendly. Great day for you to see your little one, and shes all business and wants you gone. My biggest complaint however was during labor. After have the epidural placed all day, apparently it's a "Dr. Aepli Thing" to have the epidural removed just before pushing as it may speed things up. Had I known this I would have never used him as my doctor. The worst part is this was never once mentioned to us until he was having it removed. After that going horribly and needing a c section, you then have to wait for the anesthesiologist to be found (45 minutes) to redo the epidural, while you sit there in extreme agony so you can even have the c-section. He also seems very prone to inducing which after doing I would never let someone do without a medical reason.

The wait time is long in the afternoons but he is the best.

I'm all about getting in and out when you have an appt but Aepli needs to slow down and take some more time with his paitents.

I know now of two babies that Dr. Aepli has failed to realize do not have legs and or kidneys. The first in 2007 was born without kidneys and most of one leg, but Aepli somehow missed that in the ultrasound. The second in 2011 was born without legs. Again, he didn't notice or bring that point up to the parents. These were separate cases. The parents of both children do not know each other at all, but I know both of them. How could he not notice that?
