Dr. Robert Bentley Anderson, MD

I have been struggling with an ankle problem for about 5 months now and no other doctor could figure out what was going on! I was told Dr. Anderson was the best in Wisconsin so my parents decided to send me there! As soon as he saw me he knew exactly what was wrong and I got an injection in the ankle and it was like magic! Everything was healed after 5 months of pain! Such a nice and friendly guy! He also makes sure everything is all set before you leave!

Dr. Anderson was referred to me by my rheumatologist and orthopedic knee doctor (a colleague of his) who both told me that even though I wasn't ready for an ankle surgery at the time, to get established with him as a patient as he was one of THE BEST ankle surgeons in the US. I waited approximately 9 months to get into the practice (back in 2012). So worth the wait. Dr. Anderson didn't recommend that I have ankle replacement surgery at that point since the appliances on the market at that time did not have good results for longevity. He said he would do a fusion if thats what I wanted. I appreciated his honesty and chose to wait, using injections as a temporary bandage continuing to see him yearly. Finally, he was happy with the results of one particular replacement device and so I started on the journey of my ankle replacement-at age 53. I couldn't have asked for nor would I have wished for another doctor. He did an unbelievable job and literally gave me back my life. After my… recovery which included physical therapy, I have zero pain in my ankle joint. Three years later, my left ankle is ready for a replacement. I would have given him twenty stars if I could. I wouldn't consider going to anyone else.

Dr Anderson is a very caring dr. Listens and talks in terms you can understand Highly recommend him

25 years ago after being told by another Charlotte ortho that nothing could be done for my painful ankle I called Dr Angus McBryde who had moved from Charlotte. He recomended Dr Anderson. I met with him, he xrayed my ankle and told me I was way too young to have this painful ankle. He sent me to the best radiologist in Charlotte, in his opinion. This radiologist injected my ankle with cortisone in the correct place. It has never hurt again and this has been 25 years. I credit Dr Anderson with this instant end to my painful ankle.

Dr. Anderson operated on my Dad some years ago and saved a foot that others said he would loose. He also repaired torn ligaments and tendons on my ankle from an injury. My family has always received excellent care from Dr. Anderson and his staff. I would recommend him highly.

I had surgery with Dr. Anderson. I never fully understood what his plan for the surgery was because he always has a resident in the room and he talks to the resident and not to the patient. Also very hard to get a follow-up appointment with him. Very knowable Doctor but would not recommend him.
