Dr. Robert Chan Ang, MD

A friend of mine recommended Dr. Ang as a very knowledgeable sleep specialist. I did not have my hopes set to high as all Sleep Specialists I have seen in the past have told be "With your Sleep Apnea severity - use CPAP or die". Dr. Ang spent time to understand my concerns and listened to what caused problems for me with CPAP. He was very quiet and understanding while I was speaking and then said "I think I understand. Based on your anatomy, we can try a combination of a couple of conservative approaches which might address the problem for you. He recommended that I try an oral appliance in combination with having some minor nasal surgery done. I was desperate, so I tried it with the dentist and ENT he recommended. Well, I will let numbers speak for themselves - I went from an AHI of 83 down to 3.9 according to my most recent sleep study and I am perfectly comfortable sleeping with the oral appliance. I am just thrilled with the results and want the world to know that this doc knows… what he is doing!

I found Dr. Ang on the internet as I searched for sleep specialists. I found him to be not only be extremely knowledgeable but also to explain technical medical terms in words I could understood. Answered all of my questions and I asked a ton. He even helped me figure out my last doctor had under treated my condition and I have been sleeping better and much healthier since. He's also given me hope that with additional treatment and improving my health, I don't have to live with this disorder the rest of my life! Thanks Dr. ANg!

But he has difficulties resolve patients symptom, especially on bronchitis and lung problem, which I suffered from.He will explain to you a lot of theories and possibilities, but at the end of the day, your problem is still there.However, bronchitis is a difficult thing to resolve, especially when it's combined with allergy and other chronic conditions.
