Dr. Robert B Balbis, DO

Very professional and knowledgeable.

Dr. Balbis was rude, condescending, and did not listen to my concerns as the patient or facts about my lifestyle and diet. I had concerns about low thyroid function (.8 in a range from .4 - 4.0) which regulates many things in the body. He cut me off in mid-sentence, and drew a picture of a donut and a cup of coffee, and said my issues are what happens when these are dietary choices. I do not eat donuts, empty carbs, nor do I drink coffee, tea, or alcohol. I exercise each day, work hard, and make good heart healthy food choices. My low functioning thyroid was the issue and he wanted to prescribe meds for BP & cholesterol issues and send me to his friend's expensive diet clinic. Kick back? I am focusing on wholistic healthcare with health care providers that listen and do not try to offer a blanket diagnosis to all patients with a prideful, ignorant attitude.

I have been seeing Dr. Balbis regularly for 3+yrs. now. He is a great Dr. He takes time with you and explains everything with you also has a good sense of humor and is personable. I recommend him highly to anyone looking for a primary care physician.

Doctor Balbis has been my GP for a long, long time. I respect his honesty, and knowledge. We've been through a lot. With his guidance, I lowered my weight and cholesterol, AND he helped me get through a rough time with kidney stones. I hope to continue to see him in the future. Thanks, Doc B!!

Amazing Dr. Also took my daughter in too him. Will always make time to see me/patients even if he isn't in office that day he will come in.

Reading the reviews he must have been having a bad day - condescending, rude, beligerant. I was so shocked I said nothing but will never go back and never send anyone to him. I wanted to talk about some sore to the touch lumps forming in my head and he told me to make an appt. and come back, mentioned my age as though I should go home and deal with it. The doctor to whom he sent me before surgery inconveience the entire surgical pavilion, staff and doctor by making me wait over an hour - which was scheduled at the last minute (morning of surgery) not the 30 days he had.. Dr. Balbis turned it around saying he was sorry to have inconvenienced me trying to save my life. Wow As a senior I have never experienced such horrible bedside manners.

The first time I went to Dr Balbis he found and diagnosed me with PAD.which is an artery disease.He is a wonderful doctor I would highly recommend him to anyone.

My husband and I have been battling multiple conditions for years. Medicines, complications from surgeries, just life in general. Dr. B took the time to sit down with my husband and I to sort out every bit of our medical history instead of running through the motions of the regular office visit. And he also kept in touch with all the specialists we visit, which is a long list of names. In the end, we feel that Dr. Balbis has help us find a peace and rhythm to our lives. Thank you Dr. Balbis.
